Lee Min Ki Career

Career

Lee Min-ki first gained fame on television in romantic comedies Love Truly (2006) and Dal-ja's Spring (2007), after honing his acting in one-act dramas. He appeared in the quirky low-rated cult film Evasive Inquiry Agency (2007) and later alternated mainstream films with indies such as Oishi Man (2009). He received raves for his supporting roles in A Million as a vivacious Marine-turned-janitor who finds himself embroiled in a survival reality show; and the disaster film Tidal Wave, in which he plays a lifeguard who makes a heartbreaking sacrifice in the Korean beach town of Haeundae. Lee established his bona fide movie actor role in the action film Quick and romantic comedy Spellbound, which both confirmed his nexuous movie star status.

In the relationship drama Very Ordinary Couple (2013), Lee starred alongside Kim Min-hee, which was a hit in the box office and received rave reviews. He appeared in thriller Monster (2014), action noir For the Emperor (2014), and drama film Shoot Me in the Heart (2015), which is based on Jeong Yu-jeong's best-selling book of the same name.

Lee was cast in the romantic-comedy film Because This Is My First Life opposite Jung So-min in 2017; this is Lee's first television leading role in ten years. This was followed by the fantasy melodrama The Beauty Inside (2018), based on the same name in 2015 romantic comedy film. He was a man who suffers from Prosopagnosia.

Lee returned to the small screen in 2019 with the crime detective drama The Lies Within, in which a detective opposite Lee Yoo-young appeared. Lee would appear in the occult thriller film Three Days alongside Park Shin-yang and Lee Reas, which will be released on January 13, 2020.

Lee starred alongside Nana in the MBC romantic comedy Oh My Ladylord in 2021. Lee signed a Yeongsang ENT contract after his previous work with the former company came to an end in September 2021. He appeared on JTBC's television series My Liberation Notes, which premiered in April 2022. He was the second of three siblings with no definite goal in life, Yeom Chang-hee.

Lee lent his vocals to a track with Korean electronica/pop singer Sheean during a 2009 Mnet KM Music Festival collaboration with Japanese electronica/Shibuya artist FreeTEMPO. The album, titled "Power of Love," was released as a digital single, and Lee was also included in the music video. He debuted his musical debut No Kidding, a six-track EP with a distinctly indie-electro rock sound on August 11, 2009. "Eternal Summer" was the first and only single album to be released on the album. In 2013, he performed two singles titled "Those Days I Had with You" and "Everything" in collaboration with Gold Coast.
