Mr. Cop (2015) and Mrs. Cop 2 (2016) were two of his most notable roles.
Career
Kim Min-jong began his career in the 1990s as a matinee idol with a delicate, serious appearance. He appeared in popular TV series that sparked pre-Hellou Korean drama trends, including Feelings, A Faraway Country, Mister Q, Mister Q, Secret, and Guardian Angel. He appeared in the films You Know What, It's a Secret, Teenager Resistance, and Park Chan-wook's sophomore effort Trio.
He and fellow actor Son Ji-chang formed The Blue Duo in 1992 (). They were leading hit dramas at the time, and they had a burgeoning following among women when they first introduced ballads and dance music. After their first album, the pair split up for a while, but in 1995, they reunited for a second project that culminated in several chart-toppers.
Kim began a fruitful career as a solo artist. However, in 1996, he announced his resignation as a result of the similarity of the song "Gwi cheon do ae" (1996 to the Japanese song "Summer Dream"(1987, by Tube). With his fourth album, he made a comeback two years later.
Though his fame in the mid- to late 2000s peaked, Kim Jung-eun appeared in Mr. Butterfly opposite Kim Jung-eun, the romantic comedy/police procedural Woman of Matchless Beauty, Park Jung-geum, risqué cable drama The Return of a Man Called God, and the manhwa version A Man Called God.
The Blue Blues made their way back to K-pop in 2009. Son has been toying with the prospect of releasing a "best of" album for a long time, according to Kim. When the two teams reunited for a good cause in 2007, they re-recorded some of their old hits, including "Free Only for You," and "Endless Love." They released a four-song single album and announced official The Blue promotional activities during the year. He and Sons are both corporate partners and co-CEO of Blue M Company since 2010.
In the 2010 spy film Athena: Goddess of War, Kim had a scene-stealing role as a North Korean agent defecting to South Korea.
SM Entertainment, his brother's general manager, appointed him as a non-executive director of one of his divisions, SM Culture & Contents, in 2012 (SM C&C). He gained new followers after appearing in A Gentleman's Dignity, which portrayed a group of close-knit male friends in their forties. On a mission trip sponsored by UNICEF and the World Food Programme's World Food Programme, Kim and co-star Jang Dong-gun visited refugees in the Republic of Congo. Hope TV, a SBS documentary program, had it televised. Then he and another co-star Kim Su-ro co-hosted My Queen on cable channel Story On, in which they travel the world meeting Korean "queens" who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields.
