Mark Andrew Consuelos (born March 30, 1971) is an American actor.
He is best known for his role on ABC soap opera All My Children (1995–2001; 2010) and supporting actor Hiram Lodge on The CW drama Riverdale (2017–present).
Early life
Mark Consuelos was born in Zaragoza, Spain, to an Italian mother, Camilla, and a Mexican father, Saul Consuelos. He is the youngest of three children: he has one older brother, who is a surgeon, and one older sister who is a lawyer. Consuelos has lived in Italy and the United States since childhood, rising up in Lebanon, Illinois, and then Brandon, Florida. He attended Bloomingdale Senior High School in Valrico, Florida, and then attended University of Notre Dame before graduating with a degree in marketing from the University of South Florida in 1994.
Personal life
Consuelos met Kelly Ripa, his co-star on All My Children in 1995. On May 1, 1996, the two eloped. Michael Joseph (born June 2, 1997), Lola Grace (born June 16, 2001), and Joaquin Antonio (born February 24, 2003).
Howard Stern and model/actress Beth Ostrosky married at the Le Cirque restaurant in New York City on October 3, 2008. Stern had been close to Consuelos, who was the reason why Stern asked Consuelos to officiate. Consuelos accepted, but took it upon himself to request ordination to make it a formal occasion for Stern and Ostrosky. Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Chevy Chase, Billy Joel and his wife Katie Lee, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, and Stern's radio co-host Robin Quivers were among the wedding's guest list.
Consuelos and Ripa lived on Crosby Street in SoHo, Manhattan, for many years. They sold the apartment on East 76th Street in 2015 for $20 million and built a townhouse. They bought the townhouse in 2013, but it wasn't listed on the market until now, from fashion designer Luca Orlandi and his wife, Oluchi Onweagba, for $27 million, making it the second most expensive townhouse to sell in NYC this year.
Career

Consuelos had his breakthrough in February 1995 when he landed the role of Mateo Santos on the soap opera All My Children. He fell in love with his on-screen love interest, Kelly Ripa, and secretly married her in Las Vegas in May 1996. Harmon was one of the few people to know that Ripa and Consuelos were not only dating, but married at the time; at the time, he lived on co-star Winsor Harmon's sofa; at the time, he was one of the few people to know that co-stars weren't just dating, but married.
