Career
Lee Joon-hyuk made his debut in 2006 (January 20) by appearing in a hip hop band Typhoon's music video. He started acting in the First Wives' Club in 2007, followed by a few supporting roles. Lee has risen to fame for his roles in Three Brothers (2009), I Am Legend (2010), City Hunter (2011), and Man from the Equator (2012).
In 2011, Lee appeared on Carried by the Wind, a reality show that aired as part of Sunday Night, in which several male stars appeared on a road trip in the United States to learn about music. In 2012, he boosted his Korean Wave fanbase by appearing in the Chinese television drama Half a Fairytale.
On June 19, 2012, Lee enlisted for his mandatory military service and was discharged on March 18, 2014. In My Spring Days, he made his acting debut.
Lee gained notoriety in 2017 for his work in the crime thriller Along the Gods: The Two Worlds. Lee played a lead role in the medical drama A Poem a Day and the second lead role in the scifi film Are You Human? Lee appeared in the cast of the critically acclaimed television drama Designated Survivor: 60 Days and the Lies Within, which premiered on television. Lee appeared in the timetravel mystery thriller 365: Repeat the Year as a member of a homicide squad in 2020. At the 39th MBC Drama Awards, he received Best Acting Award at the 5th Asia Artist Awards, as well as Excellence Award (Actor in a Monday-Tuesday Miniseries). In the second season of Stranger, he reprised his role as Seo Dong-jae.
Lee starred in the OCN drama Dark Hole in 2021 and is expected to appear in Khyung-taek's film Firefighter.
Lee received the 'Three-Servants' award of the year in August 2020. On the '58th Firefighter Day's Celebration', Lee was named as 'Honorary Firefighter' by the president of South Korea in November 2020.' He was given this award for his generous donation of his full salary from the Naked Fireman drama to 'South Korea Fire Service' and being involved in two firefighting-related initiatives.
