LaToya Forever Life

LaToya Ali (née Wilson), better known as LaToya Forever, is a Canadian YouTuber and writer best known for her eponymous YouTube channel as well as her video blog channel "LaToya's Life."

She appeared at the American Music Awards in 2012 as the official Vibe TV host, and in 2015 and 2017, she appeared in the Buffer Festival for the first time.

YouTube's self-named main channel has more than 125 million views.

"LaToya's Life: Uncut Mishaps of a YouTube Star" was her debut book, an autobiography that was published on November 8, 2016.

Early life

LaToya Howard was born in Scarborough, Ontario, daughter of professional baseball player Nigel Wilson and Debbie Howard, both of Trinidadian descent. Howard has seven younger siblings. Around the time LaToya was 11 to 14 years old (middle school age), her family immigrated to the United States to ensure her mother could obtain a college education. Howard's family was compelled to move from place to place during her childhood, making it impossible to form any lasting friendships as she grew up. Rather, she began making videos and posting them on the internet as a way to express her thoughts. She would later move to Toronto, Ontario.

LaToya Forever Career

Online career

Howard began posting videos in 2009, and in 2010, she launched "LaToya Forever," posting comedies and parody to entertain herself and others. "Shit Caribbean Moms Say," one of her oldest videos, focuses on her own mother's growth as well as other mothers from Trinidad. Samia, a first child, began a YouTube channel "LaToya's Life" with "reality show" type information about her and her life while pregnant. She was hired to be the Vibe TV host at the American Music Awards in 2012. She created the "LaToya Forever App" in 2015 to give her followers access to her video clips.

For the 2015 "YouTube FanFest Live" event, YouTube made "LaToya Forever" their official YouTube Correspondent. She joined Gone Viral TV (GVTV) for a social media presentation in June 2016. She was one of the featured guests at the 7th annual VidCon conference in Anaheim, California. Howard and her staff were one of three teams selected for the "Jumping Screens" comedy festival, which was designed to aid the creators in moving from online to television in August 2015. The workshop ran from June to November. Howard was one of the featured creators of the 2015 Buffer Festival in Toronto, Canada, from October 13 to 15, 2015.

She was ranked in 2016 VidCon's Top and Brightest Black YouTubers. For a haunted séance spectacular, LaToya Howard was invited to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Room 301 series. Save Samia, a new endless runner style mobile game that allows users to race around Toronto's smoggy streets in order to get her daughter Samia to school on time. Samia Ali, Latoya Howard's now four-year-old daughter who followed in the footsteps of her mother's mother, has over 190,000 followers on YouTube. She wrote Rihanna's favourite fenty beauty review, which was posted by the Rihanna on her instagram account and drew interest from media including Cosmopolitan, Huffington Post, Elle, and others.

Reality television

LaToya Howard appeared on Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta as a "Friend of the Housewives." She had intended to be a full-time housewife for the thirteenth season but was forced to leave her ex-husband Adam Ali shortly after, because she did not want her children to be on the show.

She also created an e-book titled How to Become a YouTube Sensation outside of her video work.

LaToya's Life: A YouTube celebrity's Uncut Mishaps, released on November 8, 2016.
