Entertainment career
So began his career as a stand-up comedian in northern California at the age of 16. During the three years he was in college, he appeared in various stand-up comedy clubs.
As a way of experiencing comedy while working and learning at Sacramento State, I started posting videos on YouTube.
So decided to quit school and pursue a career in comedy by migrating his stand-up material to YouTube, where he wrote and produced a majority of his original content on his first YouTube channel, DavidSoComedy, which has more than 1.45 million views and counting. His video response to Alexandra Wallace's "UCLA Asians in the Library," which used derogatory words against Asians, went viral, and he earned over 5.5 million views in January 2019. Genius Brain was briefly renamed Genius Brain to represent his shift away from skits and vlogs for a brief period of time. On Sundays and Thursdays, episodes are released biweekly.
