David So Career

Entertainment career

So began his career as a stand-up comedian in northern California at the age of 16. During the three years he was in college, he appeared in various stand-up comedy clubs.

As a way of experiencing comedy while working and learning at Sacramento State, I started posting videos on YouTube.

So decided to quit school and pursue a career in comedy by migrating his stand-up material to YouTube, where he wrote and produced a majority of his original content on his first YouTube channel, DavidSoComedy, which has more than 1.45 million views and counting. His video response to Alexandra Wallace's "UCLA Asians in the Library," which used derogatory words against Asians, went viral, and he earned over 5.5 million views in January 2019. Genius Brain was briefly renamed Genius Brain to represent his shift away from skits and vlogs for a brief period of time. On Sundays and Thursdays, episodes are released biweekly.

He was a recurring cast member of Just Kidding News. So, I left the show as a regular cast member in order to concentrate on other projects in 2019.

The Comment Show was hosted and written by Henson.

Tim Chantarangsu, a fellow YouTuber, co-hosts Send Foodz. The show was picked up by Thrillist shortly after its initial appearance on Chantarangsu's channel and airs every other Thursday.

Gook, Justin Chon's 2017 film Gook, co-produced and starred. During the first day of the 1992 Los Angeles riots, two Korean-American brothers, played by So and Chon, are struggling their father's shoe store, and their unexpected friendship with an 11-year-old black girl. Samuel Goldwyn Films released the film on August 18, 2017. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2017, where it received the NEXT Audience Award.

In 2017, Kevin Hart, an actor and comedian, was featured on actor and comedian Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud (LOL) network.

So was a judge on the best Leftovers Ever! Rosemary Shrager and Jackie Tohn appear on the show together.
