Josh Ramsay Life

Joshua Ramsay, a Canadian singer, writer, producer, recording engineer, actor, and singer of pop rock band Marianas Trench is the lead vocalist of the pop rock band Marianas Trench.

Early life

Josh Ramsay was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, but he now has dual citizenship in Canada and the United States. He began attending Magee Secondary School, where he was later barred due to his heroin use. He grew up in a family stuffed with music, where his mother was a vocal coach and his father owned a recording studio (Little Mountain Sound Studios). Ramsay began his music discovery at the age of 14. He later discovered that he needed a support band. Ramsay formed the band Ramsay Fiction with his sister Sara Ramsay. Ramsay met high school friend Matt Webb in the hopes of creating a new band after eventually not working out. They discovered Ian Casselman in an ad in the newspaper, who introduced them to Mike Ayley, Ian's roommate at the time. The four members went through several names before finally settling on Marianas Trench.
