Career

Jo appeared on JTBC's television network in Cheongdam-dong on daytime in 2011. A hosting gig on the audition program Made in USA was followed by a live performance by Made in the United States (also on JTBC) and an appearance in Koisuru Maison Rainbow Rose, a Korean-Japanese co-production Koisuru Maison.

In 2012, Jo landed her first major role as a young girl who falls for a drummer in TVN's coming-of-age series Shut Up Flower Boy Band. Later this year, she appeared in her first network television series as a supporting role in the MBC period drama Horse Doctor.

M Countdown, Jo and Kim Woobin, were on display at Mnet's weekly music show M Countdown for two weeks (on April 4 and 11).

In the erotic thriller Innocent Thing, Jo was cast in her first film in 2014 as a struggling, seductive teenager who becomes obsessed with her gym instructor. She appeared on television for the first time in romantic comedy series The Idle Mermaid, a modern retelling of The Little Mermaid set in a competitive Korean workplace.

In 2015, Jo experimented with the OCN police procedural drama The Missing, in which she starred as a detective on the missing persons task force. She joined the ensemble cast of the KBS weekend family drama All About My Mom and appeared in the web series Love Cells 2, which was based on the webtoon version of the same name.

Jo appeared in the revenge melodrama Monster and romantic comedy series Sweet Stranger and Me in 2016. She appeared in Romantic Melodrama Temperature of Love in 2017 and the two-episode drama special Let's Meet, Joo-oh.

Jo was portrayed in Goodbye to Goodbye, based on a webtoon devoted to two women's lives in 2018. She was a student at a university who was battling as a single mother. She appeared in My Strange Hero, a romantic comedy film released in the United States, the same year.

Jo played a doctor in the romance drama Forest as a doctor in 2020. Nam Ji-ah, a television actress, appeared in the fantasy drama Tale of the Nine Tailed the same year.

After the expiration of her previous employment with KeyEast, Jo joined the firm in February 2021. She appeared in a recent military themed drama as Cha Woo-in, a military prosecutor who masks her vengeful persona, in 2021. This drama is one of the best-rated Korean dramas on cable television in Korea.
