Life and career
Goo was born in Gwangju, South Korea, on January 3, 1991. When Goo's mother abandoned the family at eight years old, her parents split. While their father was employed as a building worker around the country to help the family, Goo and her brother were raised by their grandmother, while their father was still caring for the family. She attended Woonchun Elementary School and Jeonnam Middle School, and she spent two years as a track and field athlete.
