Moonbin, one of K-Pop's most prominent celebrities, was announced yesterday. The 25-year-old boy band member who rose to fame with his band Astro is said to have committed suicide. Unfortunately, the Korean pop industry is no stranger to tragedies like this, with a mental illness epidemic affecting actors that has resulted in a string of deaths. It comes as South Korea has been suffering a 'epidemic' in recent years, with one of the world's highest suicide rates. And the high pressure faced by several South Koreans, 95% of whom are stressed, as well as the tabopping on mental health issues, isn't lost on the country's actors. Sulli (top, center), Goo Hara (bottom right) and Kim Jong-hyun (bottom left), among other singers, have all taken their own lives in recent years. Although scores of K-Pop stars have suffered with their mental disorders, many others have died young from accidents or other causes. MailOnline takes a look inside the crowded world of K-Pop.
