Gong Seung-yeon (born Yoo Seung-yeon, February 27, 1993) is a South Korean actress.
Early life
On February 27, 1993, Gong was born in Seoul, South Korea, as Yoo Seung-yeon. She is Yoo Jeong-yeon, Twice's older sister. Yoo Chang-joon, their father, was a personal chef for former President Kim Dae-jung, as well as a head chef of the Seoul Plaza Hotel, who specialized in Korean cuisine. She graduated from Sungshin Women's University.
Career
After winning the "Best Looks" segment of the SM Youth Best Contest in 2005, Gong first trained as a performer under SM Entertainment for seven years. After losing her interest in singing, she left in 2012.
Gong debuted in small roles in television dramas just after making her debut in a feminine hygiene cream (Yuhan-Kimberly) in 2012.
When she appeared on the fourth season of the Korean reality show We Got Married, where she was partnered with singer-actor Lee Jong-hyun, the relative newcomer caught mainstream attention.

Gong was cast in the historical romance drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency in 2019.
