Gloria de los ngeles Trevio Ruiz (born February 15, 1968), also known as Gloria Trevi (Spanish pronunciation: [loja tee] is a Mexican singer, songwriter, actor, comedian, television presenter, music video producer, and businesswoman known as "The Supreme Diva of Mexican Pop."

Gloria Trevi, a native of Montere, Nuevo León, Mexico, left Montervie, Mexico, to pursue her music career.

Personal life

In 2009, Trevi married Armando Gómez, a solicitor. She and her two sons now live in McAllen, Texas. At the 23rd BMI Latin Awards on March 2, 2016, Trevi received the BMI President's Award for her contribution to Latin pop.

Trevi, Andrade, and backup singer Maria Raquenel Portillo were arrested in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on suspicion of corrupting minors. Trevi announced she was pregnant a year later, when she was in jail. According to DNA tests carried out by Brazilian authorities, the father was Andrade (Trevi and her defense said the DNA test findings had been doctored). After spending four years and eight months in jail, Trevi was cleared of the charges in 2004 due to a lack of evidence.

Trevi became a member of Boquitas Pintadas, a brief-lived girl group. She approached Sergio Andrade for the creation of her first solo album, Qué Hago Aqu, after the company broke up in 1988.
