Pepe Aguilar Career

Early life and career

Pepe Aguilar was born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 7, 1968, while his parents were on tour. Despite being born in the United States, he was raised in Zacatecas, Mexico. When Aguilar's father, Antonio, performed at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, he made his debut as a singer at the age of three. Aguilar, a teen, was a rock music fan and had a band named "Equs." The band didn't last long, but it did lead to his first album. Pink Floyd and The Who were two of Aguilar's musical influences, among other rock bands. Nonetheless, while leaving his teenage years behind, he returned to Mexican Regional music, mixing the traditional style with his pop influences and establishing a strong presence in the Latin scene, as well as developing a lucrative acting career.

With the introduction of "Pepe Aguilar Con Tambora," Aguilar's career began in 1989 and was later limited editions. Aguilar's first mariachi album, "Recuérdame Bonito," was released by Mexican singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian in 1992. In 1993 and 1994, he introduced "Que Bueno" and "Chiquilla Bonita."

In July 1998, Aguilar and his record label were in court controversies, and he launched "Por Mujeres Como T" in Mexico and Latin America, transforming him into a household name.

"Por El Amor De Siempre," was released on February 9, 1999. This collection features songs from 1970s to artists such as Camilo Sesto, José Mara Napoleón, Riznet, Rizo Cerato, and others. Pepe put a new spin on these old songs, and it was met with a lot of success. This was the album that characterized his career.

Millions of copies had been sold by October 19, 1999. Many singles were performed on the radio. "Mejor lbum Regional Mexicano" was the first Grammy Award on the program.

He paid tribute to the great artists that preceded him in the year 2000. Jorge Negrete, Pedro Infante, Javier Solis, Miguel Aceves Meja, and Vicente Fernandez all contributed to "las voces más representativeos de la época de oro en el género ranchero" on el género ranchero.

It was the first CD to record "Lo Mejor De Nosotros," with unedited songs and teamwork with Fato. In the territories where there was no such thing as promotion, his song "Me Vas a Extra" debuts in the first places.

He produced "Y Tenerte Otra Vez," his first work with his own recording studio, "Equinoccio Records," and "A Pierna Suelta" on March 25, 2003.

With "Con Orgullo Por Herencia," he paid a special tribute to his parents in 2003. It recognized his parents' songs, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre. He produced "Miedo," a big success for Pepe's, in 2004, but he hadn't sung an original song in 15 years.

On August 31, 2004, the album "No Soy De Nadie" was released. "El Autobs" was a hit song on this album. This collection featured songs by famous songwriters such as Juan Gabriel, Luis Demetrio, Jess Monarrez, and even his own song writing on this album.

He paid tribute to El Corcorra in 2005 on the album "Historias De Mi Tierra." "Dos Amigos," "El Federal De Caminos," and "El Correo de Chihua" are among the songs included in this collection. The CD gave Pepe another Latin Grammy for 'Mejor lbum Ranchero' and gave him another American Grammy for 'Mejor lbum Mexicano Americano.'

The CD "Enamorado," the second part of "Por El Amor De Siempre" (1999), was released on August 15, 2006, and it is the main song of the Novela "Destilando Amor," "Por Amarte." In 2007, the CD was given another Latin Grammy in the category of 'Mejor lbum Ranchero'. Pepe asked his followers not to buy his albums from Musart in 2009 because they were just copies and not financially benefiting him.

On July 26, 2012, Aguilar received his 2,474th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was located on 7060 Hollywood Blvd., directly next to the actor's father.
