Eun Ji-won Life

Eun Ji-won (born June 8, 1978) is a South Korean rapper, singer, dancer, composer, and leader of the first generation idol group SechsKies.

Following the group's disbandment in 2000, Eun began his solo career in 2001 ("A-Ha") and has mainly concentrated on hip hop.

In addition to his music, he has appeared on hit shows including 2 Days & One Night, New Journey to the West, and Kang's Kitchen. SechsKies held a reunion concert for fans 16 years after they were disbanded thanks to the famous program Infinite Challenge.

They have since returned to work as a team and have signed a YG Entertainment deal.

Early life

On June 8, 1978, Eun Jiwon was born in Seoul, South Korea. Kim Seong Ah Ah, his mother, was a member of the female duo, the "Lily Sisters."

From Grade 9 to 12, Eun lived in Hawaii, attending the Hawaiian Mission Academy. Kang Sung-hun, a former Sechs Kies student, was a student at a school in Sechs. He spent time as a teen in Hawaii as a cafe DJ, where he developed an obsession with music and was recruited under DSP Media.

He is connected to Park Chung-hee and Park Geun-hye, who both served as the President of South Korea.

Personal life

In February 2010, Eun announced that he would marry his first love, a woman two years his senior, in February 2010. The two couples knew each other since 1994 and reunited 13 years later, eventually marrying on April 20, 2010. Eun Jiwon and soccer player Lee Dong-Gook became a brother-in-laws by marriage.

Eun and his wife divorced in August 2012 due to personality differences.

On April 15, 1997, Eun Jiwon debuted under Sechskies with their first single, "School Anthem," on the program KMTV Show! Music Tank. The team received a warm reception and came to fame with their hit songs PomSaengPomSa and Couple. Due to a back-to-back schedules coupled with little rest, Eun described his time with Sechs Kies as tumultuous.

Eun made his on-screen debut in 1998, playing the lead role in the film Seventeen, which also starred fellow Sechs Kies members.

Sechs Kies announced their disbandment on May 18, 2000. Despite their success, the group is planning to disband with the hopes of thriving in the future. Following the disbandment, the band performed "Thanks" on line, the group's final track.

Sechs Kies is a fictional character in the history of Sechs Kies.

With the release of the album G Pop, a self-produced mini album, Eun began his solo career on October 27, 2000. With his second album, Heavy G, his first full hip-hop album, Eun continued to refine his style.

In September 6, 2003, Drunk in Hip Hop's third album, as well as the title track "Drunk in Melody," was released under Waltz Music Entertainment. The album was Eun's first foray into hip-hop, establishing his fame as a hip hip-hop artist and shedding his idol image. At the 2003 SBS Gayo Awards and the KMTV Korean Music Awards, "Drunk in Melody" received the Eun the Hip Hop Award.

From his first solo album, Eun repackaged his third album, which also included an alternate version of "Mi Casa Ro" and "Never, Ever."

Eun appeared in the romantic comedy Marrying a High-School Girl () which was released on December 23, 2004. Poor reviews had been received for the film's bizarre plot structure, and it had been chastised for its ridiculous plot structure. Eun recalled that he was coerced into the role, remarking how he shaved his head in a show of resistance against doing the film.

Eun was a member of The Movement Crew (), a hip-hop crew started by Tiger JK, and he appeared at the group's concert on May 13, 2006. Eun cites Tiger JK as a major influence on his musical style. Drunken Tiger, Tasha (Yoon Mi Rae), Dynamic Duo, and Bobby Kim appear in his songs often.

Eun's single, "Adios," marks the start of his Latin inspired music. Love, Death, Introspection () was released on October 30, 2007, with four new songs and an instrumental version of "Adios." At this moment, Eun is a member of Eyagi Entertainment's 13 Creative Unit, a subordinate.

After appearing in small entertainment television roles, Eun took part in the KBS reality-variety show1 Night 2 Days as a founding participant. The exhibition attracted national attention, and Eun became a common household name. He was praised for his comedic personality as "Eun Choding" and then went on to investigate his work as a variety entertainer.

In early 2009, Eun left CH Entertainment and founded GYM Entertainment, his own business.

Platonic, Eun's fifth full-length studio album, is his fifth full-length studio album. "Siren" was his "last" dance song ever, as his tribute to his followers. However, he will continue to perform While Buzzed, another electronic dance album.

Eun Jiwon led Clover, a new group led by members Gilme and Mr. Tyfoon on March 31, 2011. Just two weeks after the release, their debut album "La Vida Loca" was well-received, gaining the Cyworld Music Chart just two weeks after the fact. "A Guy Who Knows" was Clover's second digital single on September 29, 2011; this time, Clover introduced "A Guy Who I Know ()). At the 21st Seoul Music Awards in January 2012, Clover received the Hip-Hop/Rap Award. "Pork Soup ()" Clover's second digital single was released on August 14, 2012. "Trickling ()," Clover's third digital single, was announced on November 18, 2013.

On a new program on QTV called Handsome Boys of the 20th Century, Eun, Chun Myung-hoon, Tony An, Moon Hee-joon, and Danny Ahn appeared on a new show called Handsome Boys of the 20th Century. The show was a performance project, establishing HotSechGodRG, a portmanteau of each member's names in the various idol group names. The show attracted a lot of attention, and HotSechGodRG and the group continued to work together outside of the main show. They appeared on various entertainment shows, such as Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend, Happy Together, and Hwasin – Controller of the Heart ().

HotSechGodRG will be back for a new show in July, according to a press release in May 2014. In a recent film called W.I.S.H, Moon Hee-joon, Eun Ji-won, Danny Ahn, and Chun Myung Hoon appeared.

Sechs Kies performed a reunion concert on September 10 and 11 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena on Saturday, during the show Infinite Challenge's I Am A Singer segment. The company re-banded and signed a new deal with YG Entertainment. The organization's reunion went viral, igniting an influx of old and new fans, resulting in their comeback concert tickets selling out in less than five minutes.

SechsKies unveiled a new digital single "Three Words ()" on October 7, which topped all eight major music charts shortly after its debut, earning all-kill status. It also ranked top in Asian music charts and global iTunes in Taiwan, and is one of the top iTunes songs on iTunes charts in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and other regions.

On November 23, YG revealed that Sechs Kies' new album would be released on December 1, 2016. The new album, "2016 Re-ALBUM," features ten of SechsKies' hit songs that were rearranged and remastered by YG artists, as well as a special gift for fans.

Sechs Kies received numerous accolades throughout the year, including Click! On March 18, Eun Jiwon announced the re-opening of his official fan club '1KYNE'. He founded the official fanclub at 12 KST on March 28, and over 30,000 people logged into the website, causing the website to crash before they were able to register.

On April 19, YG revealed that Sechs Kies' album The 20th Anniversary will be released on April 28, 2017. The album debuted on top charts around the world, setting a new high on the list of hallyu actors. Sechs Kies earned first place on MBC Music Core in consecutive titles and finished #1 on KBS Music Bank, with "Be Well" on MBC Music Core.

Eun Ji Won has officially signed a new deal with YG Entertainment, which was announced on August 16.

The Eun will return to the music scene with his sixth album G1 on June 27, 2019. Future Bounce and label mate Winner's Mino's Mino produced "I'm On Fire," featuring female vocalist Blue.D, with lyrics written by Mino and Eun Ji-won himself.

Following Kang Sung-hoon's departure from the company, Sechs Kies released their first mini album "All For You" on January 28, 2020. The group began taking a more relaxed approach to music, leaning toward ballads and old school R&B. Mnet M Countdown announced that the song took first place.

The four starred in the film "Don't Look Back" which debuted on February 5, 2021, with their appearances on the variety show Three Meals for Four and with the support of Yoo Heeol. Bugs, Genie, and Vibe were among the song's top pop charts in Korea, including Bugs, Genie, and Vibe.

Eun continues to work on variety television, including Master in the House, Things That Make Me Groove Season 2, and Naked World History as of 2022.

Radio career
