Foxy Brown Life

Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand (born September 6, 1978), also known as Foxy Brown, is an American rapper, singer, producer, and actor.

She is best known for her solo performances, as well as numerous collaborations with other artists and a brief stint with the Firm as part of the hip hop group.

Brown was born in Brooklyn, New York, where her father, Winston Marchand, left the family early in order to pursue his ERAC career.

Ill Na Na was released in 1996, followed by Chyna Doll in 1999, and Broken Silence in 2001, which was Grammy nominated.

She appeared on the firm's debut album in 1997, the only one to be released by that company to date.

She has a lengthy arrest history and has spent some time in jail. She recorded verses for herself and other artists in 2001, but not in 2005; she dropped the Def Jam label in 2003, thus canceling the debut of her Ill Na Na 2 album.

However, she returned to the company in January 2005 after former Defense Jam president and CEO Jay-Z signed her back to begin working on her latest album Black Roses.

She started suffering from hearing loss in December 2005, putting her career on hold until next year, just a few months after surgery.

In May 2008, Brooklyn Don Diva, a street music album that was originally a mixtape, was released.

King Soon Come is expected to be released in 2019.

By media, she has been referred to as the "Rap Vixen Of Hip Hop."

Foxy has been praised for its husky flow and cadence.

She is often referred to as the "Female Tupac" and has also been compared to her male counterparts Nas and Jay-Z, which have also been compared to her male counterparts.

Early life

Marchand is a Trinidadian-American of Dougla (mixed Afro-Trinidadian and Indo-Trinidadian) and Chinese-Trinidadian descent. She and her two older brothers grew up in Park Slope, a middle-class neighborhood in Brooklyn. When she was four, her parents divorced, and her extended family moved in with her maternal grandfather. She attended Brooklyn College Academy.

Personal life

She appeared on television from 1997 to 1999, performing alongside fellow rapper Kurupt. She first revealed that she was suffering from depression in 2000. She began heroin use at Cornell University Medical College, claiming she would no longer be able to perform or perform without resorting to morphine. Spragga Benz's daughter was born in 2001. Federico de la Asuncion, her uncle, was one of 265 people killed in the crash of American Airlines Flight 587 on November 12, 2001.

Brown suffered with hearing loss from May 2005 to June 2006. She opted for a hearing aid, but when recording music, someone tap beats on her shoulder.

Brown and Lil Kim's comparisons sparked intense rivalry. "When shots were fired outside a New York radio station, it became very personal." The two haven't discussed the subject, with Foxy siding and collaborating with rapper Nicki Minaj in her feud with Kim in recent years. Kim Brown does not recognize Brown after being released from jail. Brown, on the other hand, has consistently targeted Kim in her music and performances since Kim's debut.

Foxy Brown Career

Career

Brown won a talent competition in Brooklyn, New York, when he was still a teenager. Members of the production team Trackmasters, who were assisting Mr. Smith on the LL Cool J's Mr. Smith album, were on hand that night, and they were impressed enough to invite Brown to rap on "I Shot Ya." She followed her debut on many RIAA platinum and gold singles from other artists, as well as remixes of songs "You're Makin' Me High" by Toni Braxton. Brown appeared on the soundtrack to the 1996 film The Nutty Professor, including the songs "Touch Me, Tease Me" by Case and "Ain't No Nigga" by Jay-Z. She became a pop sensation for being a natural performer and rapping provocatively at such a young age. Def Jam Records won and signed the then 17-year-old rapper to their roster in March, sparking a label bidding war at the start of 1996.

Brown's debut album Ill Na Na debuted in 1996 and saw a lot of success. Over 128,000 copies were sold in the first week, and the album debuted at No. 31. Billboard 200 album charts place 7 people on the Billboard 200 album charts. Trackmasters produced the album, as well as guest appearances from Jay-Z, Blackstreet, Method Man, and Kid Capri. The album was platinum and released two hit singles, "Get Me Home" (featuring Blackstreet) and "I'll Be" (featuring Jay-Z).

Following the unveiling of Ill Na Na, Brown joined Nas, AZ, and Cormega (later replaced by Nature) to form The Company, the company's supergroup. Aftermath Records and was produced and recorded by Dr. Dre's team and Steve "Commissioner" Stoute, later of Violator Entertainment, aftermath Records, Inc. On Nas' second album It Was Written, an early version of The Firm appeared on "Affirmative Action" from the firm's second album. The album includes a remix of the song and several group freestyles. Nas, Foxy Brown, Arizona, and Nature Presents The Firm: The Album. The album debuted at No. 102 on the Billboard 200 album chart, landing at No. 2. 1.

She appeared at MTV's spring break in Panama City, Florida, alongside rapper Snoop Dogg, pop group The Spice Girls, and rock band Stone Temple Pilots. Later, she joined the House of Blues with the headlining rap group Cypress Hill, Erykah Badu, The Roots, OutKast, and The Pharcyde. However, she decided against it after missing multiple dates on the tour.

Chyna Doll was born in January 1999 and debuted at No. 1 in the United States and debuted at No. 1. In the first week, Billboard 200 Album chart No. 1 was selling 173,000 copies in its first week, making her the second female rapper to do so after Lauryn Hill. However, in the coming weeks, its revenues fell dramatically. After selling more than one million copies in shipments, Chyna Doll has been rated platinum.

Brown released Broken Silence in 2001. Brown's "street" appearance was showcased on the album "BK Anthem" and paid tribute to her hometown, Brooklyn, as well as well-known rappers such as The Notorious B.I.G. Jay-Z. "Oh Yeah" was the album's first single, starring her then-boyfriend, Jamaican dancehall musician Spragga Benz. Kenya Fame Flames Miller and Nokio from Dru Hill produced the song "Na Na Be Like." "Na Na Be Like" was also on the Blue Streak Soundtrack.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts as No. 1. This week, the 5th unit of the company, which is the first week, was selling 130,000 units. Broken Silence has also sold over 500,000 copies and been rated gold by the Royal Institute of British Architects as on previous albums.

Brown wrote a song for Rush Hour 2, a Japanese-American singer-songwriter, which was a collaboration with Japanese-American singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada, and was written by Utada and Chad Hugo in the same year. The album is included on Def Jam's Rush Hour 2 Soundtrack, achieving first on both the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, as well as first on the Top Soundtracks. The Neptunes' "Blow My Whistle" was released.

Brown returned to the music scene in 2002 with her single "Stylin'," whose remix featured rappers Birdman, her brother Gavin, Loon, and N.O.R.E. It was supposed to be the first single from her forthcoming album Ill Na Na 2: The Fever. She appeared on DJ Kayslay's "Too Much for Me" from his Street Sweeper's Volume One Mixtape earlier this year. She appeared on Luther Vandross' final studio album Dance with My Father. Brown appeared on popular New York radio DJ Wendy Williams' radio show, and she revealed the particulars of her friendship with Lyor Cohen, president of Def Jam Recordings at the time, and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. Brown was charged with unlawfully selling her recording masters. Cohen also revealed that she had postponed promotion for her fourth album, Ill Na Na 2: The Fever, due to personal incompatibility. "Stylin'" was also released on the compilation album "Source Presents: Hip Hop Hits Vol. In December 2002, there were 6 children under the age of 6.

Ill Na Na 2: The Fever Brown began recording in late 2004 after she left Def Jam Recordings after she was dissatisfied with her studio album's cancelled promotion. She reunited with Jay-Z after appearing on his Best of Both World Tours for the first month. Brown and Jay-Z started working on the Black Roses with production by The Neptunes, Kanye West, Timbaland, Trackmasters, and Dave Kelly after returning to Def Jam under his guidance. Brown reported guest appearances by Barrington Levy, Dido, Luther Vandross, Mos Def, Baby Cham, Spragga Benz, Shyne, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS-One, Roxanne Shante, and Jay-Z, although it was uncertain if any of the album's final cut was made. Brown stopped Def Jam for the second time and formed Black Rose Entertainment, an independent record label under Koch Records' control contract. Brown said two albums worth of stuff had been released between 2004 and 2007, and she wanted to bring some of the songs to the street album, Brooklyn's Don Diva.

Brown revealed in November 2004 that Black Roses would be her new album title, noting, "My best friend Barrington Levy has a song named "Black Roses." He's been travelling around the world and has never seen a black rose in no other garden. He knew this shit was special when he discovered his black rose. Y'all niggas should have all of the female rappers in the country, but there is only one black rose. "I think that's me." Brown also revealed that she would be the first artist signed to Jay-Z's forthcoming imprint record label S. Carter Records. Rather than announcing the imprint, Jay-Z became the new president and CEO of Def Jam Records, where he signed Brown as one of the first artists on his new roster. Brown revealed that she had suffered significant and sudden hearing loss in both ears and that she had not heard another person's voice in six months since November 8, 2005. During this period, Brown put the Black Roses aside. Brown said that her hearing had been restored through surgery and that she was planning to resume recording in June 2006. Her label did not have a release date, but hoped that the album would be out by the end of 2006. They were uncertain if the Black Roses would be kept. Jay-Z was apparently dissatisfied with Foxy Brown's "lack of focus on the album" and was planning to have her removed from the Def Jam family line in November 2006. Black Roses' initial appearance in December 2006 was postponed.

Black Hand Entertainment announced a management contract with Brown on May 22, 2007, with Chaz Williams as her boss. No release date was planned for Black Roses, but Brown claimed the album was almost finished. A new date of September 6 was announced two days later. In August 2007, Brown signed to Koch Records. Brown will leave Def Jam to launch Black Rose Entertainment, a Koch Records exclusive, on August 16. Don Diva's street album was eventually scheduled for release on December 4, but it was postponed until next year.

After several delays triggered by her jail term, Don Diva of Brooklyn was released as a street album on May 13, 2008. Two previously unreleased songs from her shelved album Ill Na Na 2: The Fever are included in this collection. The album reached No. 1 on the charts. No. 83 on the Billboard 200 chart, No. 83. The Independent Albums chart has the No. 8 on the chart, and the No. 9 has no. On the top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, 5th on the list.

Brown introduced "Massacre," a retort to Lil' Kim's "Black Friday," in 2012. Foxy appeared on Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday Tour in New York City on August 14, 2012. Brown was later revealed that he was working on new Minaj stuff, according to Rapper AZ. Brown made her first official guest appearance on Nicki Minaj's fourth studio album Queen in August 2018.

Brown is back to work on her forthcoming fourth studio album, according to various media outlets. Brown reimagined Casanova's "So Brooklyn" in 2019.

Brown reunited with her company The Firm in August 2020 for the song "Full Circle" from Nas' album King's Disease.

Lamor Whitehead, Brooklyn's bling bishop, goes on a 15-minute rant to argue his innocence

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 21, 2022
Bishop Lamor Whitehead (left) went on a 15-minute protest against the federal fraud charges he faces while sitting in front of two portraits of himself. Two parishioners were allegedly scammed out almost $100,000, many from a woman's retirement account, according to the so-called 'bling bishop'. Whitehead said that it was wrong for people to judge or accuse him after posting $500,000 bail and returning to his $2.8 million New Jersey McMansion (inset). He also warned his followers not to buy into reports of his suspected wrongdoings, insisting they were nothing more than half of the debunked theories that caused people to suspect him to believe he staged his own gunpoint robbery in July.

Nicki Minaj Calls Out Artists Who Copy Their Idols' Sound: "It's Irking the Crap Out of Me! "I think that is the best way to describe it."

www.popsugar.co.uk, October 19, 2022
Nicki Minaj is open about her current obsession with music. The "Super Freaky Girl" rapper spoke to Jada Pinkett Smith for Interview Magazine's fall 2022 cover story, where the two discussed motherhood, work, and the former being described as "sexy." However, Minaj was unable to help but voice her music opinions as well, particularly in relation to the sound artists' latest designs — and how it sounds all too familiar. "What I'm seeing now is that so many new artists are trying to become the person they looked up to instead of giving us a new flavour! And it's irking the crap out of me!" Minaj told Pinkett Smith that she did not know him. "I know I could see so much talent in any of the latest musicians, females, males, or whatever." But I'm losing when I see the person who is trying to be like or sound like more than I'm seeing.
