Life and career

DeStorm comes from Arlington County, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland, where he lived with his mother and seven children. In 2001, Power went from Virginia and Maryland to New York to California to pursue his music aspirations. Power set out to establish himself as a performer after interning and ghostwriting for Atlantic Records, Universal, and other record labels, using YouTube to showcase his singing, songwriting, and production abilities with the online world. Power's videos are often comedic and sometime use rapping and beatboxing. He was notably invited to the Olympic Trials as a seasoned triple jumper and Master personal trainer. Power appeared as Mr. T in the first season of Epic Rap Battles of History, where he set a gold record. Mashala's father died of stomach cancer in 2008. In 2011, he and his brother Sara Pena founded Big Frame, a Multi Channel Network, and launched Forefront.TV, a lifestyle and music website in Los Angeles, California. Power went to William Morris Endeavor, then a actor, followed before deciding to go solo. Power hosted a reboot of MTV's Punk'd with co-host King Bach in August 2015, which aired on BET. He is the founder and president of The Zeus Network, which opened in July 13, 2018. He was nominated for five Streamy Awards, winning three of them. In 2018, Emmy Nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. Caught The Series was his first film. Tayvion Power is also owned by him.

This involves DeStorm, his partner, his side-chick, his coworkers, competitors, and others. This series comes as a cliffhanger every Sunday. The Caught series has earned over 300 million combined views, making it the most watched short form film on the internet. The series was nominated for an Emmy Award and four Streamy Awards, with two of them winning two. On July 13, 2018, DeStorm Power, King Bach, Amanda Cerny, and Lemuel Plummer all launched Season 2 on The Zeus Network, a subscription box that was founded by DeStorm Power, King Bach, Amanda Cerny, and Lemuel Plummer.
