Early career

Claudia was born and raised in Qawra, Malta, with her siblings Fabrizio and Miriana. Her father is from Italy. Claudia began participating in a variety of television shows and appearances in numerous festivals, with several of them winning first prizes. She received the 'Talentissimi Juniors' in 2001 at the Phoenicia Hotel in Malta, a show organized by 'Actreaction'. At the University of Malta, she performed live with Malta's National Orchestra in aid of impoverished children. In the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, Julie & Ludwig, as well as her brother Fabrizio, were accompanied by Malta's ambassadors.

In 2003 she appeared at a concert with Fabrizio Faniello, while a year later, she performed with the National Orchestra with Nadine Axisa, Fabrizio, and Philippa. She ranked fourth on Hotspot, a TV show on Net TV in 2005. "With the song "High Alert" she debuted on the Malta Song For Europe Festival, she began her participation in the year 2006. Ray Agius' song "Agius" - a compilation. At the same time, she received the award for best newcomer.

With the track "Ma Nafx," a tribute to Ray Agius, she took home the Festival Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2006. Despite qualifying for the Malta Song for Europe's 2007 Semi-Final with the song "L-Ima Gamja" (Love is Blind), she wasn't eligible to participate in the six songs that qualified for the final round. She came in seventh place in the seventh series.

Claudia Faniello performed "Wild Flower," Aldo Spiteri's composition and written by Deo Grech in summer 2007. With two songs, "Caravaggio" and "Sunrise," she received the Go Malta Song for Europe Semi-Final Festival in 2008. Both songs made it to the final eight songs. With the song "Caravaggio," a tribute to the Italian artist with the same name and 3rd with the song "Sunrise," she came in second place in the final of this festival. She made her fourth appearance in this Maltese festival this year, but she wasn't one of the last three artists to secure a seat in Moscow 2009. "Blue Sonata," Ray Agius' composition and written, placed her fourth in fourth place. With the song "Samsara" written by Philip Vella and written Gerard James Borg, she qualified to the final of the Go Malta Eurosong 2010 festival. She came in eighth with 31 points. In August 2010, she unveiled Convincingly Better, her first album. Faniello's entry "Movie in My Mind" took ninth place in the Go Malta Eurosong 2011 finals. Faniello's entry "Pure" took second place in the Go Malta Eurosong 2012 finals.

After winning the national final with the song "Breathlessly," Faniello performed Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.
