Brownswood Recordings, Gilles Peterson's new name, has been attached to him. In March 2007, his debut album Welcome to the Best Years of Your Life was released. He appeared on Later... with Jools Holland, alongside Paul McCartney and Björk. On Kraak & Smaak's album Plastic People, he appeared on "Squeeze Me" also.
He appeared on the track "I Can See," which was the main single for Jazzanova's album "All The Things," which was released in January 2009 on Verve/Universal. Ben also performed on the song "Shame" for DJ Marky and Artificial Intelligence. Westbeech is collaborating with Professor Green (producing for his latest album), Kutz (Soul Jazz), Redlight (Lobster Boy), and Rusko (Mad Decent). On Strictly Come Dancing, he performed his second album, More To Life Than This. Soul Clap, Henrik Schwarz, MJ Cole, Motor City Drum Ensemble, and Georg Levin appear on the record. "Work inspired, rather than straight up house music," Westbeech said of it. Also under the moniker Breach, Westbeech produces and DJs. He made the track "Fatherless" on PBN in 2010, which was under the "Breach" moniker. Breach has performed music on Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird label and Pet's (Catz n Dogz) label. He released his first commercial single on the UK Singles Chart in July 2013, "Breach," peaking at 9. Andreya Triana's sequel, "Everything You Never Had (We Had It All), also peaked at 9.
Breach teamed up with American singer-songwriter Kelis on "The Key," which was announced on December 14th, the week of the UK Christmas singles chart race; the single however failed to chart.
