Musical career
Candys became well-known in Switzerland in 2008 with the song "La Serenissima." He returned to work in 2009 after coworking with Jack Holiday on a remix of the Faithless song "Insomnia," which debuted in top ten in various European singles polls. "People Hold On" was his third single on the European club charts in 2010 and was followed by "Together Again," which led him to become internationally known. With "One Night in Ibiza," a track that features elements of 1990s eurodance, female vocalist Evelyn Zangger, and rapper Patrick Miller, he reached the top of the charts in 2011. The song was an answer to Swiss DJ Antoine and Timati's "Welcome to St. Tropez." Mike Candys' "2012 (If The World Would End)" was a top ten hit in German speaking countries in March 2012.
