Performance by J Balvin The VMA Showdown by the Twerking Giantes Representation

www.mtv.com, August 28, 2022
If the MTV Video Music Awards have a main character, it is unquestionably The Assassination Ass. The VMAs always find a way to be butts, from Prince George's bare-it-all canary yellow ensemble in 1991 to Lizzo's inflatable booty guest dance in 2014 to Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" choreo and Miley Cyrus' self-identified "twerking" the year before that. TikTok phenom Saucy Santana carried on the tradition from the 1920 VMA pre-show by performing their first single "Booty" with some lyrically appropriate dance steps. And then, J Balvin did well on the main stage, thanks to some seriously larger-than-life backup dancers.
