Rebbeca Marie Gomez (born March 2, 1997), also known as Becky G, is an American singer, songwriter and actress.

Gomez first gained recognition in 2011 when she began posting videos of herself covering popular songs online.

One of her videos caught the attention of producer Dr.

Luke, who subsequently offered her a joint record deal with Kemosabe Records and RCA Records.

While working on her debut effort, Gomez collaborated with artists will.i.am, Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd.

Personal life

In June 2016, it was confirmed that Gomez is in a relationship with American professional soccer player Sebastian Lletget.

While on tour with Fifth Harmony in October 2017, Gomez suffered an "out-of-control fan attack" while in Mexico City. Gomez took to Snapchat to speak about the incident and also revealed that she had been dealing with anxiety issues.

Life and career

Rebbeca Marie Gomez was born in Inglewood, California, the niece of Mexican American parents Alejandra "Alex" and Francisco "Frank" Gomez. All four of her grandparents are from Jalisco, Mexico, although her parents and the majority of her family were born in the United States. Gomez has two brothers as well as a younger sister. In December 2017, she revealed she had a half-sister who was eighteen years old. Gomez grew up in Moreno Valley, but her family lost their house and moved into her grandparents' converted garage due to financial difficulties at the age of nine. Gomez began working part-time to help her family, helping with retail sales, and voice over work. When she was nine years old, she had what she described as a "mid-life crisis" and decided she wanted to pursue a career in music.

She started public school but had to go back to homeschooling due to bullying issues. She said she was jumped by multiple girls while in the toilet at one point, and she was a frequent perpetrator in the entertainment industry due to her work in the entertainment industry.

She joined G.L.A.M., a girls' club. B.C.G., a girl group, formed in 2009 and later joined B.C.G., another girl group. As part of G.L.A.M., she shot a music video. Sean Paul, a Jamaican rapper, and French DJ David Guetta launched "Mad Love" on the 16th of the same month, as well as Gomez.
