Jungkook Life

Jeon Jung-kook (born September 1, 1997), better known mononymously as Jungkook, is a South Korean musician, singer, and record producer.

He is a member and vocalist of the South Korean boy band BTS.

Early life and education

Jeon Jung-kook (Korean) was born on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea, and was named after the emperor. His family consists of his parents and an elder brother. In Busan, he attended Baekyang Elementary and Middle School. He enrolled in Seoul's Singu Middle School as a student. Jungkook had aspired to be a badminton player when he was younger, but after seeing G-Dragon's "Heartbreaker" on television, it influenced him to become a singer.

Jungkook auditioned in Dael in 2011 for the South Korean talent show Superstar K. Despite being unidentified, seven entertainment companies offered casting calls. After seeing RM, now his fellow band member and BTS boss, perform, he eventually decided to work under Big Hit Entertainment. He went to Los Angeles during the summer of 2012 to get dance instruction from Movement Lifestyle to work on his dance skills in preparation for his debut. He appeared in Jo Kwon's "I'm Da One" music video in June 2012 and also served as a backup dancer for Glam before his debut.

In 2017, he graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul, an arts high school. He declined to take the CSATs, Korea's national university entrance examination in November 2016. He earned his degree from the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment of Global Cyber University in March 2022. He was given the President's Award, the school's highest award.

Personal life

During a concert in Chile in 2017, Jungkookook died. He had been sick the day before, and there were no underlying causes, according to the report. On the Love Yourself World Tour in 2018, he sustained a heel injury that prevented him from participating in choreography; as a result, he performed while seated during part of the European leg of the tour.

Jungkook was involved in a car accident in November 2019 with a taxi. Neither party sustained significant injuries, and an amicable settlement was reached.

Jungkook has lived in Hannam-dong, Seoul, South Korea, with his bandmates since 2018. In July 2019, he bought an apartment in Yongsan District, Seoul, which he gave to his older brother in December 2020. Jungkook's net worth was estimated to be US$20 million as of July 2021.
