Asuman Krause (born 1 March 1976) is a German-Turkish actor, singer, model, and television host who was named Miss Turkey in 1998.
Early life and career
Krause, who was born in Circass, Germany, and a German father, played for the Germany national youth basketball team. She then decided to stay in Turkey with her mother. She then became a model and competed in Miss Turkey's beauty pageant in March 1998 before going on to represent Turkey at Miss Universe, winning the Congeniality award. She was one of Turkey's most popular models in the early 2000s.
She gave up modeling in favour of a career as a singer in 2006, releasing her debut album, ok Yalnzm (English: I'm very lonely), with Turkish record firm Seyhan Müzik. It gained some radio airplay and was compared to Burcu Güneş and Emel Müftüolu's likes.
