Ariyon Debo Bakare (born 1 July 1971) is a British actor.
He appeared in A Respectable Trade (1995), British soap opera Family Affairs from 2000 to 2001, and The BBC One daytime drama Doctors from 2001 to 2005.

Early life
Bakare left his family home at the age of 15, and began his education while homeless due to his father's war. Years later, he returned home and "made peace" with his father. Bakare moved from London to New York in order to pursue dance as a career, and he worked as a dancer at numerous conservatories, including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He was told that dancers often retire at a young age, two years into his career. He gave up dancing and began focusing on acting the next day. At the age of 20, he returned to London and began studying acting at Drama Centre London. He began his career with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). He said he did live in Scotland, did scriptwriting, singing soul, and opera music while studying scriptwriting.
Career
Bakare portrayed Ben Kwarme in the BBC soap opera Doctors from 2001 to 2005. He was rewarded for Best Actor at the 2004 British Soap Awards for his portrayal of the role. Bakare returned to direct and write multiple episodes after leaving Doctors. In the Channel drama Stealing Lives, he co-wrote and appeared. He appeared in November 2008 as a villain in the BBC drama Spooks, and in October 2009, he made a appearance in Casualty. In 2011, Bakare played Carl Lucas, a mini-cab driver, in the twelfth episode of Law & Order UK's sixth series, which premiered in 2012. Wesley Holt, a band manager, appeared on Dancing on the Edge for the first time in 2013. Bakare appeared in Doctor Who's "The Woman Who Lived" alongside Maisie Williams in 2015.
