After almost three years with Menudo, Garc, Garca, she left the band and joined World Wide Entertainment. He released several albums including "Magic," "Yours So Beautifully," and a remake of singer Tiffany's hit song "Don't Keep Me Holding On" (written and produced by Lewis Martineé of Exposé fame) that became a hit, but it was his solo artist "Don't Keep Me Holding On" (written and produced by Lewis Martineé of Exposé fame) that became a hit, which was a hit) that became a hit, World Wide Entertainment sold Garca's recording deal to Warner Bros. Records for an undisclosed sum.
He released one semi-successful Spanish-language album for Warner, titled "Angelo" after being part of his old label. After finishing his secondary education and some recording projects, he put his recording career on hold when he moved to Orlando, Florida, where he earned a communications degree from the University of Central Florida. After completing his education, he was instrumental in the establishment of a women's gym franchise in Miami named Elements before returning to New York City to restart his musical career.
Garca has written a number of original songs in both Spanish and English since 2004. During 2005, he appeared on a reunion tour with former Menudo members Sergio Blass, Rawy Torres, and Robert Avellanet, all performing under the name "Los Ultimos Heroes." Garca decided not to record a solo album because he had personally penned or collaborated on music in order to protect his artistic integrity and avoid a generic reworking of the Menudo sound.
Garca released Cool, a Spanish-language pop album on which he wrote or co-wrote every song. "Entergaré," (also known as "Si Es As"), which Garca co-wrote with songwriter Roy Tavare in the 2006 motion picture Yellow starring Roselyn Sánchez, was one of Cool's singles.
Garca started recording material for an English-language album in 2012, which is expected to be released in early 2013.
Garca posed for a series of semi-nude photos for Paragon Men, a gay erotica website, in May 2010. Garcia candidly discussed his homosexuality and his years of sexual exploration after leaving Menudo, as well as briefly as a stripper and erotic dancer and performing at the now defunct Gaiety Theatre in New York City.
