Zak Bevis (born Zak Frary, 29 May 1991) is an English professional wrestler.

In the World Association of Wrestling, which is owned and operated by his family, he mainly competes under the name Zak Zodiac.

Personal life

Bevis is the product of a professional wrestling team. Both his mother and father, Sweet Saraya and Ricky Knight, as well as his siblings, half-brother Roy and his sister Saraya-Jade, who is more commonly known as Paige, are professional wrestlers. The World Association of Wrestling (WAW) promotion, which is headquartered in Norwich, is run by the family. The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family, Channel 4's documentary about the Knights appeared in July 2012. The documentary was turned into a Stephen Merchant and executive producer Dwayne Johnson's "Fight with My Family" titled Fighting with My Family, with Jack Lowden playing Zak. In 2019, the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He is married to his childhood sweetheart Courtney, with whom he has three children.

Zak Zodiac Career

Professional wrestling career

Bevis started wrestling at the age of ten years old for his father's promotion. The World Association of Wrestling was founded in 1992. Zodiac lost in his first championship match against Phil Lea of the WAW Youth Championships. Zodiac will face members of his family (Sweet Saraya), father (Ricky Knight), sister (Britani Knight, now known as Paige) and his brother (Zebra Kid), all while wrestling for WAW. In 2006, Zodiac defeated his father to become the WAW Pontins Open Champion. Zodiac claimed a 15-man royal rumble at WAW Champion's Night. He gained the WAW King of the Ring 2007 by defeating The Cougar Kid in the finals. In the summer of 2007, Zodiac defeated Jonny Storm in a best-two match for the WAW British Lightweight Championship; after both gaining a pinfall, Storm got the final pin. In August 2008, Zodiac met Erik Isaksen in a best-two out of three fell matches. Both men earned a pinfall, but the match would be called off by the referee, but it would not be interrupted by the referee. Zodiac won the WAW British Cruiserweight Championship in a best-two out of three falls competition on March 2, 2008. He will not qualify for the championship until April 2010. In 2009, Zodiac entered the WAW King Of The Ring, but Zebra Kid eliminated him, but Zodiac was voted out by Zebra Kid. He met Aron Frost in a match for the vacant WAW European Championships but lost. He has only competed for WAW since 2011, and he has only competed a few times a year.

At Trouble At The Talking 3 Intuitive, Zodiac defeated WAW World Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino for the first time.

Zodiac made his RDW Wrestling debut on July 12th, 2006, defeating Dave Rayne for the RDW Lincolnshire Regional Championship. He won a RDW Heavyweight Championship number one contendership title in August and defeated Mick Romeo a few days later, losing. He entered a gauntlet match for the RDW Lincolnshire Regional Championship and won, despite the grim conditions looking bleak two days later. In a triple threat ladder match that also included The Dominator, he would lose the championship three months later to Sykes. He and his dad, Ricky Knight, defeated The UK Pitbulls in the RDW Tag Team Championship on February 3, 2007, defeating them on 3 February 3. The pair were a formidable unit for nine months before losing the title to the Underdogs (Luc Harrison and Nathan Chalder) in a five-way tag team match. Before losing to Havok, Zodiac reached the finals of the King of the Castle 2008 tournament. He participated in multiple championship tournaments in 2009 but failed to capitalize on any of them.

When Zodiac travelled to Norway and debuted for the Norwegian Wrestling Federation, he would make his first wrestling appearance outside of the United Kingdom. He and his father fought Fremtiden together over the weekend. Zodiac competed in the Max21 Cup and advanced to the final, where Gabriel Antonick had him disqualified.

Zodiac will begin working with his brother Roy Bevis in late 2010. They began calling themselves the Football Hooligans with Zodiac, with Bexx and Bevis changing his ring name to Bud and Bevis changing their ring name to Bud. Both the Football Hooligans' first match as the Football Hooligans came in November at a joint event between Herts And Essex Wrestling and World Association Of Wrestling, which the pair won. The two will continue their winning streak in early 2011 (Brett Meadows and Sam Knee) in the HEW Tag Team Championship, which culminated in a street brawl against the Devil's Playboys. The Hooligans won their first tag team championship. The Hooligans rode to Germany to face Christian Eckstein and Leon van Gasteren at the European Wrestling Promotion for the EWP Tag Team Championship, but the Hooligans did not return to England. The Hooligans first appeared in International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom, where they have traded wins with Project Ego (Kris Travis and Martin Kirby). The Hooligans have also appeared in All Star Wrestling. They defeated Army of Two (Scott Fusion and Aaron Sharpe) to win the vacant RQW European Tag Team Championship on September 15, 2012, with the three teams battling Army of Two (Scott Fusion and Aaron Sharpe). Fusion and Sharpe defeated them for the title on March 23, 2013. Insane Championship Wrestling's hometown of Norwich on October 17, 2015.

On the 11th episode of SmackDown, Zodiac, with Andy Baker and Tom LaRuffa, the trio was defeated by the Big Show during their feud with Mark Henry.
