Early life
Levi was born in Petah Tikva, Israel. His father, Yerachmiel Levi, was born in Bulgaria to a family of Sephardi Jewish origins, whereas his mother, Chaya (née Lichtenstein), was born in Poland to a family of Ashkenazi Jews. Their families immigrated to South Africa where his father worked at the time; a decade later, they returned to Israel at the age of fourteen. In Givatayim, Israel, he graduated from the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts.
He served in Israel Defense Forces as a commander of the Education Corps' military band.
Personal life
Levi had previously worked with Israeli model Yael Bar Zohar and appeared in the soap opera Ramat Aviv Gimel. Levi became involved in a high-profile friendship with Israeli singer and actress Ninet Tayeb, the first winner of the show Kokhav Nolad in 2006.
