Career

On Oprah Winfrey's 1990 television show Brewster Place, one of Weaver's earliest acting roles was featured. He went on to act a teenage Michael Jackson in the 1992 miniseries An American Dream, and appeared on the television sitcoms The Jacksons (1993–1999) and Smart Guy (1997–1999). He appeared in Disney's animated feature film The Lion King's 1994, providing the singing voice of a young Simba.

Weaver appeared in Drumline with Nick Cannon in 2002 and then appeared in The Ladykillers in 2004. He appeared in "One Call Away" as well as in the music video starring Keshia Knight Pulliam and AND1 baller Phillip "Hot Sauce" champion in 2004. Weaver appeared in a supporting role in the film ATL starring rappers T.I. Big Boi from OutKast. He appeared in Crime Mob's "Rock Yo Hips" as an extra, as well as Lil Scrappy and "Make Up Bag" starring T.I. He appeared in the film He's Mine Not Yours in 2011 alongside Caryn Ward, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Carl Anthony Payne II, and Clifton Powell.

Weaver is also a recording artist. He sang of Michael Jackson's appearance in The Jacksons: An American Dream and as the cub Simba's singing voice in Disney's 1994 animated film The Lion King.
