Vinícius Júnior Career

Club career

Vincius Junior's football career began in 2006, when his father took him to Flamengo's branch office in Mutuá, which is located in S'o Gonçalo, where he lived. He was described as a left-back on his club's website.

Vincius, a poor boy, went to live in Aboliço with his uncle, Ulisses, in order to shorten the distance to Ninho do Urubu (the "Vultures' Nest"). He began receiving financial assistance from Flamengo, as well as entrepreneurial assistance.

Vincius attended futsal classes at Flamengo's school in S'o Gonçalo, a famous club based in Niterói's center.

When Vincius was nine years old, he appeared for Flamengo on a futsal basis. The club announced his potential, but the following year, he was asked to return because of his youth. However, he decided he wanted to play football, not futsal, and did not return. Vincius completed his football at Flamengo in August 2010.

Vincius made his debut for Flamengo on May 13th, 2017 as the 82nd-minute substitute in a Brazilian Série A 1–1 draw against Atlético Mineiro. With a significant salary increase and a buyout clause, he pushed his deal with the club from 2019 to 2022. This contract renewal was confirmed as part of Vincius' transfer process to Real Madrid, an agreement reached by the two clubs in Gávea this week, but there was no promise to sell the young player in July 2018.

In a Copa Sudamericana second round leg 2 match against Palestino on August 10, Vincius scored his first professional goal of his career in a 5–0 victory for Flamengo. After being called on in the 72nd minute, he scored a goal in 30 seconds. In a 2–0 win over Atlético Goianiense, he scored his first Brazilian Série A goals for Flamengo on August 19th.

Real Madrid, a Spanish club, signed Vincius on May 23, 2017, his 18th birthday came to an end. (Assassination is the minimum age for international transfer). He earned €46 million, the second most expensive sale of a player in Brazilian football (behind only Neymar), the most money received by a Brazilian club for a transfer, and the highest fee paid to a footballer under the age of 19. In July 2018, he was supposed to return to Brazil on loan.

He was officially announced as a Real Madrid player on July 20, 2018. He was issued squad number 28. In a goalless draw against Atlético Madrid on September 29, he made his debut on September 29th and was inserted as an 87th minute replacement. Vincius got off to a winning margin in a 4–0 Copa del Rey away win over Melilla on October 31st, with both Marco Asensio and lvaro Odriozola contributing to Marca's Man of the Match effort. He scored his first goal on November 3rd, ten minutes after being withdrawn as a replacement in a 2–0 victory over Real Valladolid. Between his debut on September 29th and February 2019, he scored four goals. During a loss to Ajax that ended his season, he tore a ligament, which ended his season on March 6th.

Vincius opened the 2021-22 season by scoring Real Madrid's fourth goal against Alavés in a 4–1 away victory over Alavés on the first day of the La Liga season. He scored a brace in a 3–3 draw against Levante, earning him a first-team spot ahead of Eden Hazard. Real Madrid defeated Elche 2–1 on October 30 to finish at the top of the La Liga table, with he scoring twice. The goals were his sixth and seventh goals of the league season as well as his eighth and ninth overall, despite his overall output of six goals in all competitions during the 2020-21 season, which saw only 14 games. In a 6–0 victory over Levante on May 12, 2022, he scored his first hat-trick for Real Madrid. He scored the only goal in a 1–0 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 28th, clinching Madrid their first UEFA Champions League title. Tite, Brazil's current 23-man squad for the 2019 Copa América, was cut from Brazil's final 23-man squad in May. In Brazil's 1–0 loss to Peru on September 10, he made his senior international debut on September 10th as his 72nd substitute.
