Club career

Ozan joined the Galataray youth academy in 2011, completing the program in 2011. On July 1, 2017, he signed his first professional deal with Galatasaray. In a 2–0 Süper Lig victory over Yeni Malatyaspor on May 12, 2018, Ozan made his professional debut for Galatasaray. This made him the first footballer born in the 2000s to play in the Süper Lig. In a 0–0 home draw against Schalke 04 on October 24, 2018, he played his first Champions League match in the 2018-19 season.

Kabak's transfer to VfB Stuttgart, where he served until June 2024, in a Bundesliga player. In a 5–1 win over Hannover 96 on March 3, he scored twice, marking his first senior career goals. He became the youngest Turkish center-back and third-youngest Stuttgart player to ever score twice in a single Bundesliga match, in doing so.

After Schalke activated a release clause in his deal on June 30, 2019, Kabak joined Schalke 04 on a five-year deal for a €15 million fee. In his first season with the club, he was a regular performer, playing in 28 games and scoring three goals. Since being caught spitting at Werder Bremen's Ludwig Augustinsson, he was suspended for five games and fined €15,000. Kabak apologised to Augustinsson via Twitter after saying that the incident, for which he was given a red card, was an accident.

Kabak signed for Liverpool on loan for the remainder of the 2020–21 season on February 1, 2021. According to reports, the transfer was worth £1 million, more likely to £500,000 in add-ons, depending on appearances and Liverpool's results in the Champions League. It also had the option to buy, but it was also possible to buy add-ons. He made his Liverpool debut in a Premier League match against Leicester City on February 13, 2021, resulting in a 1–3 loss. International career

Ozan, Turkey's youth international, is a student at the University of On the Turkish Sea. At the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, he captained the Turkey U17s and was named one of the ten players to watch by UEFA. Kabak made his UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier versus Andorra on Friday, defeating Turkey 2–0.
