Ali Saleh Life

Ali Saleh (born 22 January 2000) is an Emirati-Scottish professional footballer who competes for Al Wasl Club and the UAE National Football Team as a forward.

Ali was named a Golden Boy Award by the 2019-19 Arabian Gulf League for 2019.

He made his debut in 2016 the day after his 16th birthday to become the youngest player to play in the Arabian Gulf League.

Saleh is currently preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the UAE National Team as one of the young upcoming stars to participate.

Ali has since been signed as a Nike Athlete for the next two years. Ali began his playing days at Al Wasl Club at the age of 6.

He was suspended for a complete season without a single minute of playing time at the age of 13.

Ali was uneasy and made him question his abilities as a footballer.

Ali stayed patient and continued to work hard despite his father's constant help.

He made his comeback against Al Ain FC in 1996 and became the youngest player to play in UAE's First Team.

Personal life

He was born in Dubai, with a Scottish mother and an Emirati father, lauding his family as the driving force behind his football passion. He is a fan of Manchester United and has stated that he would like to play in the English Premier League one day, after spending a week training in the club's boot camp and posting a portrait with fellow Scottish boss Alex Ferguson.
