Wedgewood Construction: As the industry crisis progresses, a Johannesburg building company has been put into liquidation

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 4, 2023
After 14 years in the industry, Wedgewood Constructions, based in Magill in Adelaide's eastern suburbs, was placed into liquidation on Sunday. Until it closed this week, the South Australian company had specialised in custom-home builds, additions, and heritage building projects. The growth comes only days after Lloyd Group, a civil design and construction company, went into voluntary administration with approximately 59 projects uncompleted, including 30 in NSW and 29 in Victoria on Friday.

Another building company has gone bankrupt as the industry faces a financial crisis exacerbated by rising building costs. On Friday, the Lloyd Group (left), a civil engineering and construction company, went into voluntary administration, with approximately 59 projects remaining uncompleted across New South Wales and Victoria. Porter Davis Homes (right), one of Australia's largest construction companies, went bankrupt on the day.
