Early life

Kourtney Mary Kardashian was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 18, 1979, to Robert Kardashian and Kris (née Houghton). Kim and Khloé, two younger sisters, and Rob, her younger brother. Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Summer Olympics decathlon champion, divorced her parents and her mother married Bruce Jenner (in 2015, Jenner changed her name to Caitlyn) later this year. Kardashian gained stepbrothers Burton "Burt" Brandon and Brody; stepsister Casey; and later half-sisters Kendall and Kylie through their marriage.

Kardashian attended Marymount High School, a Los Angeles Roman Catholic all-girls academy. After graduating, she moved to Dallas, Texas, to attend Southern Methodist University for two years. Kardashian earned her bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Spanish at the University of Arizona, where she later lived in Tucson, Arizona. Nicole Richie and Luke Walton were among her classmates. During her murder conviction in 1994, her father received national attention as an additional defense lawyer for football player O. J. Simpson.

Personal life

In October 2019, Kardashian and her children were baptized in an Armenian Apostolic service at the Etchmiadzin Cathedral in Vagharshapat, Armenia. She was christened with the Armenian name Gayane during the service.

Kardashian sent messages and retweets in October 2020 in support of Armenia and Artsakh in connection with the Nagorno-Karabakh war.

Kardashian was in an on-again, off-again friendship with Scott Disick from 2006 to 2015. At Joe Francis' house party in Mexico, the two met. Kardashian has three children with Disick: Mason Dash Disick (born December 14, 2009), Penelope Scotland Disick (born July 8, 2012), and Reign Aston Disick (born December 14, 2014).

On Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its numerous spin offs, Kardashian and Disick's relationship has been shown. On the program, Kardashian's pregnancies and the births of all three of her children were also included.

When traveling to Las Vegas, Disick and Kardashian were supposed to marry, but her mother Kris told her not to marry her in 2007.

The couple and their son and Kardashian's sister Kim moved to Miami in early 2010. During this period, Kardashian believed Disick had an alcohol problem. Disick and Kardashian reconciled, and they maintained their friendship in mid-2010 after regularly attending therapy and briefly giving up alcohol.

From 2016 to 2020, Kardashian had been in another on-again, off-again relationship with model Younes Bendjima.

Kardashian was discovered to be in a relationship with musician Travis Barker in January 2021. Kardashian and Barker got engaged in October 2021 after he suggested to her at a beachside resort in Montecito, California. After the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, they held an informal wedding in Las Vegas on April 3, 2022. The couple officially married in Santa Barbara, California, on May 15, 2022, with a civil wedding reception held in Portofino, Italy.

Kardashian made her first appearance on reality television on the 2005 film Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, in which she earned money for charity. Kim Kardashian, a movie actress who made her sister Kim and her former boyfriend Ray J's sex tape in 2003, was leaked in February 2007, which largely contributed to her rise to fame. Kardashian, along with her mother Kris; her stepfather Bruce (now known as Caitlyn); Kim, Khloé, and Rob; and half-sister Kendall and Kylie were hired to appear in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians later this year. The series was a hit on television, and it culminated in several spin-offs, including Kourtney and Khloé, and Kim Take New York.

Smooch, Kardashian and her mother opened children's clothing boutiques in Los Angeles and New York City; the boutiques carry the brand Crib Rock Couture. Kardashian co-owns and operates D-A-S-H, a clothing store in Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, and a pop-up store in the Hamptons, as sisters Kim and Khloe.

Kim Take Miami, she and her younger sister Kim, created another spinoff reality television series in September 2012, but it debuted in January 2013. Kris Jenner, Kardashian's boyfriend at the time, Scott Disick, and sister Khloé Kardashian appeared in the film.

The Kardashian sisters were spokeswomen for the diet supplement Quick Trim, which was intended for weight loss. In March 2012, the three sisters were listed in a $5 million class-action lawsuit against QuickTrim. The complaint, brought in the Southern District of New York by the United States District Court, accuses the Kardashians, QuickTrim's manufacturer Windmill Health Products; the retailer GNC; and others in the sales and marketing chain, of misleading and deceptive advertising. The plaintiffs, who hail from a variety of states, brought their charges under their respective state's consumer protection laws.

Kardashian also stars alongside her sisters in the launch of PerfectSkin, which was created by Dr. Ron DiSalvo for Perfect Science Labs. In March 2010, the three sisters also launched a 20-piece jewelry line for the company Virgins, Saints, and Angels. The jewelry is reminiscent of their partial Armenian heritage. Kardashian unveiled her first solo fashion line in 2017 as part of a project called PrettyLittleThing. The 32-piece line was inspired by Studio 54, classical Hollywood cinema, and the 1970s, according to the website. In 2018, she and her siblings supported Calvin Klein. She collaborated with her younger half-sister Kylie to debut a line of lipsticks and palettes with Kylie Cosmetics in the same year.

Kardashian debuted Poosh, her lifestyle website, on March 5, 2019. Kardashian and Khloé collaborated in November 2019 to create three new perfumes (one for each sister) for Kim's brand KKW Fragrance. Yellow Diamond (Kourtney's fragrance), Pink Diamond (Khloé's fragrance), and pure Diamond (Kim's fragrance) are among the collection's key colors. Each scent is influenced by and unique to Kim and Khloé.
