Finn Jones (born Terence Jones) is an English actor best known for his roles as Loras Tyrell in HBO's Game of Thrones (2011–2016) and as Danny Rand in the Netflix television series Iron Fist (2017–2018), The Defenders (2018), and Luke Cage (2018), which are set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Personal life
Terence "Terry" Jones is Jones' birth name. Terry Jones, a Monty Python actor, was able to avoid confusion.
Jones assisted Oxfam activists in raising funds for their appeal to Syrian refugees by performing carols at a shopping center in Islington in December. In a post on Instagram, he appeared alongside Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour Party's leader, and later expressed his love for Corbyn.
Career
Jones attended a three-year acting course at the Arts Educational Schools. He was a Sixth Form pupil at Hayes School in Bromley before this.
In the second series of Hollyoaks Later, Jones played Jamie, a young man who found love with Hannah Ashworth. Later, he returned to the Hollyoaks village to tie in with Emma Rigby's (Hannah Ashworth) departure in February 2010.
Jones appeared in the 11th series of Doctors in January 2010. On 1 and 8 April 2010, he appeared in two episodes of The Bill playing Commander Lisa Kennedy's (played by Julie Graham) son Mark Kennedy, who was accused of murder. In the same month, he wrapped filming for a new online drama called The Curfew, which was funded by Channel 4 and produced by BAFTA award-winning company LittleLoud Productions.
