Early life
Bowman was born in Berkshire on March 4, 1988. He was educated at the Wellington College boarding school. Scarlett Bowman, his sister, is a former Hollyoaks actor. Bowman claims that his father is Jewish and that he "feels Jewish, ish" in the interview. Bowman's other ancestry is from England, Ireland, and a distant Italian.
Bowman was a youth rugby player for Saracens, F.C., before suffering two shoulder dislocations in his first year and being asked to leave.
Personal life
In late 2011, Bowman began dating Emily VanCamp, a Revenge co-star. The couple married in The Bahamas on May 11th and December 15th. In August 2021, the couple revealed the birth of their first child, daughter Iris.
Career
Bowman made his acting debut in 2007 in Dimitri's House television series Genie. He spent two years on the British television series Holby City before going on to appear in the films 13Hrs, Prowl, Exteriors, and Love's Kitchen. Max Spencer, a gymnast, appeared on ABC Family's Make It or Break It, in 2011.
He was named one of the Stars of Tomorrow by Screen International in 2011. In the ABC series Revenge, Bowman played Daniel Grayson, a series regular. Bowman appeared in the ABC series Time After Time, about a teenage H. G. Wells' adventures; it was cancelled in 2017.
Bowman studied methodical behavior at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York.
