Early life
Yuri Sardarov, a half-Georgian and half-Armenian, immigrated to the United States as a migrant at the age of two. His parents and grandparents were musicians. Sardarov was named after his grandfather, with whom he is very close, and they have matching Cyrillic tattoos. Sardarov started spelling his name with an extra "y" at the end to distinguish himself because his grandfather was named "Yuri." Nick, who is eleven years younger, has a brother. Sardarov attended Glenbrook North High School, just north of Chicago, beginning his junior year. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Leeds. In 2010, he received a BFA in Theatre Performance at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where he was a member of a fraternity.
