Susanna Thompson (born January 27, 1958) is an American actress.

She is best known for her appearances in films Little Giants (1994), Ghosts of Mississippi (1996), Random Hearts (1999) and Dragonfly (2002).

Thompson played Dr. Thompson on television.

Lenara Kahn in the groundbreaking episode of "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995), the iconic Borg King in three episodes of "Star Trek: Voyager" (1999–2000), and Moira Queen on the television series Arrow (2012–2014).

Thompson has appeared on stage and received a Dramatic Award for her role as Luisa in A Shayna Maidel. The San Diego Critics Circle had also selected her for Best Actress for her role in Agnes of God.

Thompson is best known for her television work, including starring Karen Sammler on "Dark Frontier" (1999) and "Unimatrix Zero" (2006), which also includes playing Borg Queen Karen Sammler on Once and Again, Michelle Generoo in an episode of The X-Files and a recurring role as the Borg Queen. In the 1998 television film The Lake, Thompson portrayed Denise Hydecker.

On an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine titled "Rejoined," Thompson's most controversial television appearances were highlighted. In the episode, she appeared in one of the first same-sex kisses on television in the United States. The episode first aired on October 30, 1995.

On October 7, 2003, she appeared in Law and Order: SVU's season five episode "Mother," playing Dr. Greta Heints, a psychiatrist who rehabilitates sex prisoners in order to prepare them for a return to society.

She appeared in the short-lived NBC drama The Book of Daniel, beginning in January 2006. In November 2006, she made her first appearance as Army Lieutenant Colonel Hollis Mann on CBS' NCIS in the recurring role of Agent Gibbs' love interest. She appeared on Without a Trace this week.

Thompson appeared on the short-lived NBC series Kings, based on David's biblical tale, as Queen Rose Benjamin, an analogue to Ahinoam, Saul's wife.

Thompson began his two-season tenure as Moira Queen in the CW series Arrow's main cast, revolving as a guest in later seasons. In the NBC series Timeless (2016–2018), Thompson appeared in the recurring role of Carolyn Preston.
