Shin Min-a (born Yang Min-a on 5 April 1984) is a South Korean model and actress.

She is best known for starring in television dramas A Love to Kill (2005), My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox (2010), Arang and the Magistrate (2012), Oh My Venus (2015), and Tomorrow, With You (2017).

Shin began modeling for KiKi, a youth newspaper. Since being one of South Korea's most in-demand and highest paid commercial endorsers, she has since been named one of the most in-demand and highest paid commercial endorsers. Among her forays into branded entertainment is the 2008 multi-episode Summer Days opposite Hyun Bin and Ryoo Seung-bum for LG Xnote, as well as Friends & Love, a movie-style extended advertisement for Giordano starring Jung Woo-sung and So Ji-sub in 2011.

In 2009, Shin went to Milan, Italy, to shoot a photo spread for Elle Korea with Calvin Klein model Jamie Dornan. She was first selected Asian model for American clothing brand Rag & bone's DIY Project ad campaign in 2011, then was featured in The New York Times' T Magazine as the first Asian model for the American clothing brand Rag & bone's DIY Project ad campaign in 2011.

Shin appeared in several music videos for K-pop boyband G.o.d. before his debut in 2001 as a supporting actor in the popular melodrama, Beautiful Days. Through the high school martial arts comedy film Volcano High with Jang Hyuk and Jo In-Sung's college romance film Madeleine, the newcomer quickly rose to fame.

She spent time in Kim Jee-woon's noir film A Bittersweet Life, reuniting her with former co-star Lee Byung-hun. In the Sad Film, she later portrayed a deaf character. Leading roles in the melodrama A Love to Kill with Rain, romantic comedy series The Beast and the Beauty with Ryoo Seung-bum, and psychological thriller The Devil with Uhm Tae-woong and Ju Ji-hoon were followed by leading roles in A Love to Kill with Rain, romantic comedy series The Beast and the Beauty with Ryoo Seung-bum. Shinin the 2007 film My Mighty Princess, she played two roles simultaneously.

Shine began to appear more mature in her roles as she entered her mid-twenties. Shin was a feminist counterculture actress in Go Go Go Go Go, winning numerous awards for her role in Go Go Go Go Go 70s. In Sisters on the Road, a critically acclaimed indie film starring fellow actress and close friend Gong Hyo-jin, she appeared as an unfaithful wife in The Naked Kitchen and a cynical young woman in search of her father. However, Shin's best known for her transforming supernatural horror icons into endearingly innocent yet spunky heroines in the rom-com My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox (2010) and the historical drama Arang and the Magistrate (2012).

Shin returned to the big screen in Gyeongju in 2014, a reflection of introspective arthouse romance opposite Park Hae-il, after being in The X, a 2013 spy thriller short film directed by Kim Jee-woon. This was followed by romantic comedy My Love, My Bride, in which she and Jo Jung-suk appeared as a newly married couple; it was a re-release of the same-titled 1990 hit with Choi Jin-sil and Park Joong-hoon.

Shin and So Ji-sub were portrayed in the romantic comedy film Oh My Venus in 2015. Shin underwent a three-hour makeup/prosthetic session every shoot for her character, an overweight advocate.

Shine is cast opposite Lee Je-hoon in Tomorrow, With You, a fantasy film starring a 30-year-old amateur photographer who discovers that her better half can fly. In February 2017, the drama was entirely pre-produced and premiered.

Shin was cast in the mystery film Diva in 2018, portraying a diver who lost her memory after an accident.

Shin was cast in the political drama Chief of Staff opposite Lee Jung-jae in 2019 as a lawyer turned politician.

Shin starred in Hometown-Cha-Cha-Cha-Cha-Cho, alongside Kim Seon-ho, as a self-made dentist who relocated from the city to open a clinic in the seaside village of Gongjin in 2021. With audience ratings soaring at 13.32 percent and then going on to become one of the highest-rated television series on Korean cable television history, the series became a domestic and international hit. In the tvN drama Our Blues, she played a single mother.

Shin Min-a's French Diary, a memoir that appeared on television station O'live in 2008, was published in 2009.

She has also contributed her vocals to several singles and soundtracks.
