Career

Shamoon Abbasi began his acting career with Yasir Akhtar's popular television film 'Titlee' of Tapal Cinema in 1996, and Mr.Akhtar was an assistant director on Yasir Akhtar's Pegasus Productions as an assistant director and assisted him with his telefilms Shehzadi, Zeher, and Chand. Abbasi has produced adventure shows such as Morven Gold Aventure Bali, Sunsilk 21st Century Women of Pakistan, Rescue 15 (a show based on a police department), and Reality shows including Saaye, which is based on paranormal activities.

In 2019, he will produce and play the lead role in another web-series 'The legend of JAWED IQBAL', which also received international accolades, as the one who launched web-series in Pakistan. Though Mind Games, where he's one of the lead actors, is a Netflix spin-off, Durj, a suspense-thriller on cannibalism based on true events, will be released in Cannes and will be shown at Cannes. Mind Games, another 2019 web-series, may make it to Netflix. Chaudhry The Martyr, an action-biopic based on Chaudhry Aslam Khan's life, will be released in 2019; he'll play his friend.

He appeared in the drama Bakhtawar in 2022, but in terms of movies, he played the role of accused Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in the film Dhai Chaal.
