Everything You Need To Know About the Bob Haircut From Italian Cut to Wet Look

www.popsugar.co.uk, February 23, 2024
A bob haircut is a common short hairstyle and a smart choice for those looking for a low-maintenance look. The bob haircut means the hair will be split between shoulder and ear lengths. It will ease the pain of having to cut off unhealthy habits in order to bring it back to health from a hairdresser's perspective. Despite the common belief that it can only be worn down, the bob haircut can be styled in more ways than one. "The bob is surprisingly versatile; to get more variety with your finished look, you'll need to experiment with new products and textures in a more creative way." says Patrick Wilson, ghd UK Ambassador. "We're seeing a lot of people working in bobs to bring out the old money look," a designer says, or you could have a play with gel products for a more modern look finish."

We Can't Stop Thinking About Alison Oliver's Wet Look Bob - Here's How It's Done

www.popsugar.co.uk, February 22, 2024
Allison Oliver's "saltburn" bob caught our attention right away at the 2024 BAFTAs. The red carpet is full of her edgy, smooth, and preppy bob haircut. Jennifer Lopez for Paris Fashion Week and Florence Pugh for The Fashion Awards in 2022 has already been styled. Oliver Wilson's haircut was the work of BAFTAs hairstylist and ghd UK Ambassador Patrick Wilson, who gave us the inside scoop on the latest trends. Wilson's wet-look bob is a dual-texture haircut that Wilson tells POPSUGAR UK. The style has a touch of "toughness." Wilson says, "The wet look bob has a bold film, and we wanted Alison's style to reflect this." "The wet look bob essentially involves a lot more gel than usual! It's a twist on the more modern and understated bobs we're seeing at the moment, but it isn't yet elevated."

Nicola Coughlan Stuns in a Black PVC Dress Dubbed a "Latex Masterpiece"

www.popsugar.co.uk, February 17, 2023
Can we all take a moment to appreciate Nicola Coughlan's custom-made Christopher Kane dress? On February 16, the "Bridgerton" actress stepped out sporting the piece of "PVC perfection," as she referred to it on Instagram, to win the best newcomer award at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Though the Irish actor has a tradition of nailing red carpet looks (such as the blue ruffled tulle dress for the Tiffany & Co anniversary or her Barbie-core BAFTA gown), this latest look seems to be a new direction for Coughlan. The black patent midi dress, styled by Aimée Croysdill, had a flattering fit and flare shape, with white tulle shoulder detail. To complete the look, Jimmy Choo heels and Tasaki jewellery were added. Neil Young gave the actor a peach smokey eye and used the Mac Retro Matt Liquid Lipstick in Gemz and Roses to give a hint of subtly sexy to the monochrome look, while Patrick Wilson kept her hair in a middle part and left it loose with a thin matte finish to complement the fetish formalwear.
