Early life
His father is Dutch and his mother is Mexican, and he was raised mainly in the United Kingdom. Both English and Spanish are spoken fluently. He has one older brother.
Career
Peter Gadiot trained classically at Drama Centre London and has appeared in numerous stage performances. His previous films include MTV's Hot Mess, British television's My Spy Family (2010), and a British horror film 13Hrs (2010), also known as Night Wolf.
In ABC's Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, Gadiot made his American network debut as Cyrus, the handsome and mysterious Genie. Gadiot appeared in Prada's short film, directed by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola, in the same year. He appeared in three episodes of the British show Fresh Meat, a Channel 4 dramedy with a large following. And appeared in the German horror film The Forbidden Girl (2013).
Gadiot spent time behind the camera to write, produce, and direct the short film 12–17, which was released in 2014. The short film is about young men who deceive younger girls into falling in love with them before psychologically blackmailing them into prostitutes (loverboys). The short film is titled 12–17 because this is the age of the majority of girls who are trafficked.
In addition, Gadiot appeared in the series Matador again in 2014, as well as the role of Ka in the Canadian-American miniseries Tut (2015).
