Perri Lister Career

Entertainment career

In 1978, she was a member of the dance troupe Hot Gossip, which appeared on British television's The Kenny Everett Video Show. They were praised for their sexually suggestive costumes and risqué dance routines. Lister was one of the original Blitz Kids, a group of young, flamboyantly dressed individuals who patronized the elite Covent Garden club night Blitz in the early 1980s, including Boy George, Steve Strange, Spandau Ballet, and Marilyn. In the 1980 musical comedy film Can't Stop the Music, she appeared as a dancer.

Lister began a friendship with rock singer Billy Idol in 1980, with whom she reportedly wielded a lot of authority. On his 1984 hit single "Eyes Without a Face," she appeared in several of his music videos, including "To Be a Bride" in which she played the bride; and "To Be a Lover" in which she appeared in "Les yeux sans visage," she was the girl bound to a cross in the second video for his song "Hot in the City." Mademoiselle characterized Lister's sexy appearance in the latter video as "sizzling." In 1982 Duran Duran's "The Chauffeur" video, she appeared backing vocals for the band Visage and August Darnell's band Kid Creole and the Coconuts.

Adriana Kaegi and Cheryl Poirier, two female members of Kid Creole and the Coconuts, were a member of Boomerang, a short-lived pop music group. Boomerang (1986) and a deluxe version of "These Boots Are Made for Walkin" were released by the group.
