Life and career
Oh Ha-young was born in Seoul, South Korea, on July 19, 1996. She attended Shinwol Middle School in Seoul, and the School of Performing Arts Seoul, where she graduated in 2015. She auditioned for Cube Entertainment in seventh grade, where she later became a trainee. After high school, Oh, the Opink's promotions took precedence over.
On February 21, 2011, Oh was introduced as the third member of the girl group Apink. On Mnet's M Countdown, she debuted with Apink's "I Don't Know" () and "Wishlist"), two of their debut EP Seven Springs of Apink's debut, "I Don't Know" () and "Wishlist," which were included on their debut EP Seven Springs of Apink.

Oh has ventured into songwriting during her career as a performer, as she co-wrote with Eunji for "What a Boy Wants" (2015) and co-wrote with Eunji's duet single "It's You" (2016).
Oh was cast in Brother Jeongnam, which later changed to Please Find Her and aired on KBS2 and KBS World on November 1, 2017.
Love, Stay in Memory, Naver TV Cast's six-episode romance web drama Love, Stay in Memory (Korean: ), which was released from February 14 to 19. In the sequel Love, Stay in Time (Korean: ), which was released on Danaflix on June 25, she reprised her role as an aspiring actress and screened nationally at Danaflix cinemas for four weeks starting on June 27, 2018.
Oh made her official debut as a solo artist on August 21, 2019, with the debut of the eponymous extended play Oh! "Don't Make Me Laugh" is the title track on the album, as well as its accompanying title track. The debut album debuted at number 8 on Korea's Gaon Album Chart, and it would go on to sell 9,083 physical copies throughout the country in 2019. On the Gaon Digital Chart, "Don't Make Me Laugh" did not chart, but it did reach its high point on the Gaon Download Chart, at number 97. Oh is the second Apink member since main vocalist Jung Eunji to debut as a soloist.
Oh was included in the official soundtrack of KBS2's Soul Mechanic in May 2020, performing the show's top song, "I'm Fine."
