Early life and education
Jung Eun-ji was born in Haeundae, Busan, on August 18, 1993. When she was in middle school, her name was legally changed to Jeong Eun-ji. Jeong Min-ki, she's younger brother, has her. She attended Hapdo Kindergarten, Shinjae Elementary School, Jaesong Girls' Middle School, and Hyehwa Girls' High School. Jung received the first place award in the program Exciting Day Enjoyable Day ( ), which is hosted by the KBS network in 2004. Jung completed the auditions in November 2010 to become Apink's main singer. She had no formal education prior to joining Apink and had only worked for two months with the company.
Music career
Jung was revealed to be the fourth member of Apink by an online video of her interviewing Jennifer Hudson's "Love You Should Do" in March 2011. Before going to film Apink News, Jung and the rest of the crew joined together to film Apink News. Jung debuted on Mnet's M Countdown on April 21, 2011, with two songs, "Mollayo" and "Wishlist," from the debut extended play Seven Springs of Apink.
Jung has worked with numerous musicians on OSTs and promotional songs. Jeong Eun-ji and fellow Cube artist Yang Yo-seob performed the duet song "Love Day" for Season #Green on A Cube. Jeong released two commercial singles, "All For You" and "Our Love Like This" in August 2012, which starred Reply 1997 co-star Seo In-guk for the drama's soundtrack. On the Gaon Single Chart, "All For You" became one of the year's best-selling singles.
Jung and Huh Gak produced "Short Hair" and "Break Up To Make Up" respectively, which were well received by listeners and ranked atop major online music charts in Korea in 2013. "Its You" was her first solo single on Three Days' soundtrack.

Acting career
Jeong made her acting debut in Reply 1997, a 1990s nostalgia dramedy that became one of the highest-rated Korean series on cable television. She was the female protagonist in a hardcore H.O.T. Is it possible for a TV drama writer to be a fan. Kritikers and audiences praised Jung's comedic and emotional performance, as well as her authentic Busan dialect. The actress received numerous accolades, including the 49th Baeksang Arts Award for Best New TV Actress.
