Neon Hitch (born 25 May 1986) is an English singer and songwriter.

Early life

Hitch was born in Kingston upon Thames but by a young age, he moved to Nottinghamshire's countryside. Hitch resented her parents' name, Neon, and wanted to make it more modern. Her father was a lighting technician. Irene Gardiner, her mother, purchased a caravan to live in after their house burned down. She grew up in a gypsy community. They soon began performing, designing and selling jewelry and clothing around Europe, and, as a result, she never attended school. By the age of four, Hitch was on tour and performing with the Archaos circus. She began writing poetry at the age of ten, which led to her writing lyrics. Her boyfriend discovered she could sing and advised her to practice her singing. Hitch had trained as a trapeze artist, fire swinger, and stilt walker by the time she was in her teens, and she had appeared around Europe. In a BBC documentary, her family was included. Hitch left India for a few years before resettling in London to begin her music career at the age of 16.

Personal life

Hitch is bisexual, and he lived in a flat with the late Amy Winehouse. In March 2021, she gave birth to her daughter, Freedom.
