Early life
Hitch was born in Kingston upon Thames but by a young age, he moved to Nottinghamshire's countryside. Hitch resented her parents' name, Neon, and wanted to make it more modern. Her father was a lighting technician. Irene Gardiner, her mother, purchased a caravan to live in after their house burned down. She grew up in a gypsy community. They soon began performing, designing and selling jewelry and clothing around Europe, and, as a result, she never attended school. By the age of four, Hitch was on tour and performing with the Archaos circus. She began writing poetry at the age of ten, which led to her writing lyrics. Her boyfriend discovered she could sing and advised her to practice her singing. Hitch had trained as a trapeze artist, fire swinger, and stilt walker by the time she was in her teens, and she had appeared around Europe. In a BBC documentary, her family was included. Hitch left India for a few years before resettling in London to begin her music career at the age of 16.

Music career
Hitch was signed to Warner Bros. Records by Kara DioGuardi on February 18, 2010 and announced that she would debut her debut album, Beg, Borrow and Steal, with Benny Blanco in March 2010. Hitch has worked with producer Greg Kurstin before. In January 2011 and February 2011, she launched "Get Over U," a singer-written story, for free and to digital retailers. "Silly Girl," "Bad Dog" (which was supposed to be the first single of the album) and "Poisoned with Love" were followed by "Now That's What I Call Music." 40. In addition, she published a series of covers and mash-up covers of songs by other artists, including Wiz Khalifa's "On My Level," Waka Flocka Flame's "No Hands" and Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci." Hitch was also featured on "Ass Back Home" by Gym Class Heroes, which has risen to number twelve in the Billboard Hot 100. Hitch's lead single, Beg, Borrow and Steal, "Fuck U Betta" and another single "Gold," co-written by singer Bruno Mars, debuted on Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs in 2012.

Neon Hitch revealed on December 3, 2013 that her latest mixtape, 301 to Paradise, will be released on January 3rd 2014. The mixtape was produced and co-written by NYC-based hip-hop band and songwriting team One Love, and it includes two lines from rapper Kinetics. Neon Hitch said that "Some Like It Hot" and "Red Lights" were two of her favorite songs on the mixtape, with the latter being about her "Bonnie and Clyde experience in India. "Some Like It Hot" was Neon's first song from the 301 to Paradise mixtape on December 25, 2013. She released "Gypsy Star" on May 19, 2014 and "Red Lights" on January 2nd, 2014, both songs from the mixtape.
Neon revealed that after nearly four years with Warner Bros. Records, she had left the company. Beg, Borrow & Steal album was cancelled, and she would debut Eleutheromaniac, a new album. On May 20, she also announced that her mixtapes, Happy Neon and Paradise will be available to digital retailers. Neon performed "Warner Blvd" for the first time on Tuesday, 13 May 2014. Four dancers and two horn players from New Orleans were accompanied by Neon. Neon said that "Warner Blvd" is about reclaiming her rights and urging followers to join her in behaving as their "own name" in light of her latest label change.
In Paragua, California, Neon shot the music video for Eleutheromaniac, "Yard Sale"'s intended lead single on Tuesday 27 May 2014. Through Neon's Facebook Group Page, Charlie Zwick and followers were able to participate in the shooting as extras. Neon's "Yard Sale" music video captures her moving forward and letting go of her past; the yard auction is a sign of her selling all of her possessions. On August 4, 2015, the Yard Sale was unveiled as single, with the music video a day later. Kinetics & One Love, two longtime collaborators, co-wrote the song and co-authored it.
In January 2015, Hitch introduced "Sparks" as the first single of Eleutheromaniac. On March 1, 2015, Hitch announced EP 24:00 as a surprise publication for free, which was previously unknown in 24 hours. The EP was preceded by the release of "Eleutheromaniac," the title track of her debut album's digital retailers, as an evolution of the album. On August 21, Neon launched "Pussy PowR," a new song on YouTube.

The lead single "Please" opened it. Neon collaborated with American DJ Borgeous on a song called "Lost & Found" on July 13th. The album is Borgeous' fourth single. The single's music video was released on Vevo the next day. Anarchy was declared on July 22nd. The album does not contain any of her earlier released songs, but it does include a remastered version of "Freedom." On WeTV in August 2016, Hitch performed "Please" for the Million Dollar Matchmaker, one month after the company's unveiling of "Anarchy."
Neon appeared on the Nytrix track "When Will I See You Again" on October 20th and appeared in the music video the same day. Jason Parris and My Buddy Mike's "No Warning" was announced a week later on October 27th. That Drop described the song as "a vocal-driven future bass tune that blends emotion and smoothness into a single instrument." "I Know you want it" Hitch wrote in 2017 "I Know you want it." Two singles "problem" and "wall st" were released a year later in 2018. On January 25, Hitch revealed on January 25 that her second studio album, "Reincarnation," would be released 5 days later.
