Melissa Reeves (née Brennan, born March 14, 1967) is an American actress known for appearing Jennifer Horton on and off on the NBC series Days of Our Lives (1985–1995, 2005–2010).
Personal life
Reeves was born in Eatontown, New Jersey. Since March 1990, she has been married to soap opera actress and country music singer Scott Reeves. Emily Taylor Reeves (born June 23, 1992) and Lawrence "Larry" Reeves (born August 4, 1997).
Career
The thriller Summer Camp Nightmare (1987) was one of Reeves' early film roles. Jade Perkins, a television actress who appeared on Santa Barbara from 1984 to 1985, was her first television appearance. Jennifer Horton, a teenager played by a young actress), appeared on Days of Our Lives in 1985 (prior to which the actress was a child played by a young actor), and she remained in the role until 1995. During the show's thirtieth anniversary season, Reeves abruptly departed Days, and Corday Productions and Sony TV Entertainment sued her for breach of contract. The case was decided out-of-court by Reeves for an unspecified sum, which Days Executive Producer Ken Corday donated to pediatric AIDS research.
