Louisa Claire Lytton (born 7 February 1989) is an English actress and dancer.

Ruby Allen in EastEnders (2005–06, 2018–), and PC Beth Green in The Bill (2007–09).

She also placed fourth in series 4 of Strictly Come Dancing in 2006 and represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Dance Contest 2008, finishing ninth.

Betty Rizzo appeared in the 2017 UK touring production of the musical Grease, among her theatre credits.

Early and personal life

Lytton, a student at the London Borough of Camden, was born on February 7, 1989. The Sylvia Young Theatre School in Marylebone, London, was founded on February 7th. Lisa Maffia, a So Solid Crew member, is of Italian descent on her mother's side and her first cousin, who was unveiled, is Lisa Maffia. When she was younger, she dated singer Aston Merrygold. Since being banned for drink driving the previous month, she was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £350. Lytton formed a friendship with businessman Ben Bhanvra after the pair met through a mutual friend in 2017. On Lytton's 30th birthday, the pair announced engagement on February 7, 2019. The couple revealed in March 2021 that their first child would be born later this year. Aura Olivia Bhanvra, a baby girl, was born on August 30, 2021. Lytton returned to work after her maternity leave in April 2022 by giving a dramatic appearance at Theatre Royal, Windsor, where she was lauded by many followers and critics alike.

Lytton appeared in EastEnders for the first time on March 18, 2005, portraying Johnny Allen's daughter Ruby Allen. Lytton would leave EastEnders in September 2006, weeks after winning the "Most Female" award at the British Soap Awards in July 2006. Lytton had a great time at EastEnders, writing about her character's departure: "I've really enjoyed my time at EastEnders." It's been a fantastic journey that I will never forget, but I'm excited to try new things and not being typecast." In November 2006, Lytton's last scenes were shown on television. Lytton appeared on ITV1's Loose Women on December 1, 2006, stating that leaving EastEnders was not her decision. If she had left The Bill in August 2008, she said she would like to return to EastEnders.

Lytton announced on July 18th that she would reprise her role as Ruby. Lytton said she was shocked to be asked back to EastEnders after such a long time, and told Metro UK, "I'd obviously have loved to go back to the show because it was where I started out but it hadn't been long enough that it was never an option in my head anymore."

Ruby returned on September 18th, 2018, after a twelve-year absence. Soon, producers placed her at the center of a sexual consent storyline, with a special episode focusing on consent. Both Lytton and the plotline were nominated for two Digital Spy Reader Awards for the consent storyline, while viewers and commentators alike applauded Lytton and the storyline.

Following the birth of her first child, Lytton appeared on the serial for the second time in late 2021. Lytton confessed that she will never return to the soap in March 2022.

Lytton appeared on the fourth series of the BBC One reality television show Strictly Come Dancing in late 2006. She was the youngest contestant to have appeared on the program at the age of 17. Vincent Simone, Louisa's formal dance partner, was also a professional dancer. After several spectacular appearances, she was pushed out of fourth position out of fourteen others, losing out to Emma Bunton in the viewer vote for a spot in the last three. Despite all this, Lytton, along with fellow contestants Mark Ramprakash, Matt Dawson, and Emma Bunton, as well as 2005's finalists Zo Ball and Colin Jackson, appeared in the Christmas Special on Christmas Day. Louisa, along with her EastEnders co-star Christopher Parker, was outspoken in her critique of John Sergeant's media treatment, which culminated in him resigning from 'Strictly Come Dancing,' in 2008. Arlene Philips was disqualified from the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing due to her age, she said, and she was replaced by former contestant and 2007 champion Alesha Dixon.

Hider appeared on the CBBC's show Hider in the House as herself after leaving EastEnders and joining The Bill. She has appeared on The Paul O'Grady Show to highlight her involvement in The Bill. She appeared on Big Brother's Little Brother with Dermot O'Leary. Loose Women, her second appearance on lunchtime, was on June 26, 2007, this time promoting her addition to The Bill's cast. She appeared in Emma Bunton's video for her single "Downtown" for Children in Need. She has appeared on television program This Morning twice.

Lytton first appeared in the ITV1 police drama The Bill was first introduced on May 16 as PC Beth Green. She appeared in a 1997 episode as a different character, although she co-star Billy Murray, who previously appeared as her father in EastEnders.
