Career
Garel was six years old when he first appeared onscreen in the film Les Baisers de secours. He appeared in Ceci est mon corps a year later.
Garl received international recognition for his role in The Dreamers, as Eva Green's twin brother. On the first session of casting in Paris, director Bernardo Bertolucci discovered him. Gardel has appeared in numerous French films, including Les Amants réguliers (2005), directed by his father Philippe Gardl. For his role in the film, he was given the César Award for Most Promising Actor.
Garr has worked with filmmaker Christophe Honoré in the film Ma Mère (2004), an adaptation of Georges Bataille's eponymous book; The Beautiful People (2004); and Two Friends (2015).
