Charlotte "Lotte" Reiniger (2 June 1899--19 June 1981) was a German film producer and the first pioneer of silhouette animation.

Prince Achmed's Adventures from 1926, thought to be one of the oldest living feature-length animated films, and Papageno (1935).

Reiniger is also known for producing the first version of a multiplane camera; she has produced more than 40 films based on her invention.
