Kylee Saunders (born May 25, 1994), better known mononymously as Kylee, is a Japanese American singer signed to Sony Music Japan's DefStar Records brand.
Early life and career
Kylee Saunders was born in Chandler, Arizona, to a Japanese mother and British American father. Her father encouraged her to become a performer. She has a younger sister and a younger brother. She applied for the national anthem at the start of an NBA game as an eleven-year-old, earning a standing ovation. RX-Records, an independent label, gained her the attention of music producers, and she was signed to RX-Records. Saunders attended Stoller Middle School in Portland, Oregon, until 2007, when she returned to Arizona. She later attended Hamilton High School and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 2016.
RX-Records in the United States issued "Vacancy," her first single, "Vacancy," on October 17, 2008. As the ending theme to the Sony Computer Entertainment anime series Xam'd: Lost Memories, "vacancy" was included. Kylee appeared at Otakon 2011 in Baltimore, Maryland, on her first appearance in the United States. "Crazy for You," her fifth major single, was released on October 5, 2011; the song was used in a Japanese online clothing chain Nissen's 2011 fall collection television commercial.
